About this trip

Our hiking tour takes you from Banyalbufar to Pollença in 6 varied stages. Along the way, you’ll discover the impressive mountain scenery of the Serra de Tramuntana, charming villages, and spectacular sea views. On days 3 and 4, you have a choice between two options: Those looking for a more challenging hike can walk directly from Valldemossa to Sóller via the famous Camí de S’Arxiduc. Alternatively, shorter stages are available, allowing more time to enjoy the scenery and relax.

Estellencs- Banyalbufar

The first stage of our hike begins in Estellencs, the southernmost village in the Tramuntana mountains. Well-maintained paths lead us through pine forests, with the sea as our constant companion. We'll enjoy a leisurely walk, warming up and savoring the gentle sea breeze.

Banyalbufar/Esporles - Valldemossa

This hike leads through holm oak forests, past old charcoal burners' and lime kilns, to Valldemossa. In the afternoon, you'll have time for a stroll through what is probably Mallorca's most famous village. You can choose to start in either Banyalbufar or Esporles.

Valldemossa/Deia - Soller

The easiest route of the hiking week follows the “Camí des Pintors,” passing by old houses dating back to the 13th century. This path of Arab origin once served as a link between the towns of Sóller and Deià. In good weather, you can take several breaks for swimming. There is also the option of strolling through the mountain town of Sóller, considered the “capital” of the Tramuntana mountains.

Biniaraix Gorge - Tossals Verds

The Biniaraix Gorge is one of the most beautiful landscapes in the Serra de Tramuntana mountains and has been declared a "public cultural heritage site." This paved hiking trail is a captivating combination of stone steps, rocks, water, and lush vegetation. From Lake Cúber to the mountain refuge, the trail continues over the Pas de Roca Llisa pass.

Tossals Verds - Lluc

Today we face the queen stage of the GR221. The ascent begins gently through a forest and leads us to the rugged cliffs of Massanella. Reaching the saddle, we enjoy a summit break and take in the breathtaking views before beginning the descent to Lluc.

Lluc - Pollensa

The final leg of the "Mallorca Crossing" takes you to Pollensa. Most of this leg follows a forest road and is easy walking. If you still have the energy and desire for a summit, Puig Tomir awaits you right on the path. From the top, you'll be rewarded for the very steep climb with a breathtaking view stretching all the way to Menorca.
