We’ve all heard the descriptions of Istanbul being a bridge between Europe and Asia, a place where East meets West and where cultures have coexisted for centuries. But not everyone is aware of its endlessly fascinating contradictions 

Straddling two continents, this magical meeting place of East and West has more top-notch attractions than it has minarets (and that's a lot). 

History resonates when you visit the majestic Byzantine basilica of Aya Sofya.   The secrets of the seraglio will be revealed during your visit to the opulent Ottoman Topkapı Palace complex occupying the promontory of Istanbul's Old City.  The chaotic and colorful Grand Bazaar is the best-known shopping destination on Istanbul's historic peninsula, but it certainly isn't the only one.  

Cappadocia

As if plucked from a whimsical fairytale and set down upon the stark Anatolian plains, Cappadocia is a geological oddity of honeycombed hills and towering boulders of otherworldly beauty. The Fantastical topography is matched by the human history there. People have long utilised the region's soft stone, seeking shelter undergrounds and leaving the countryside scattered with fascinating cavern architecture.  The fresco-adorned rock-cut churches of Goreme Open Air Museum and the subterranean refugees of Derinkuyu and Kaymakli are the most famous sights, while simply bedding down in one of Cappadocia's cave hotels is an experience in 21st century cave living.

Initial deposits are refundable up to 48 hours after time/date of registration, after the 48-hour timeframe your deposit will be NON-REFUNDABLE. Full payment or Final payment for this trip will need to be completed on or before April 1st 2024. Your final payment is NON-REFUNDABLE upon it's due date of April 1st 2024. If you cancel your trip at any time after the 1st payment has been made you will need to file a claim with your insurance provider to reclaim any funds paid towards your trip. 

If for any reason THETRAVELJUNKEES are not able to visit our desired destination this trip will be postponed to a later date and time. If you cannot make the dates for the rescheduled trip, you will have the option to go at your leisure on your own. In some cases, we may be able to (depending on the dates) rollover monies paid to a TTJ tour for the future. In the event you opt out of either option you will be responsible for filing a claim with your insurance provider to recoup any monies paid.
