This course is for anyone who is just starting out in the winter and is looking for an introduction into walking safely in the winter mountains. The aim is by the end of the weekend you would know the skills needed to safely access terrain where you would not need a rope for safety.

How to interpret weather forecasts
Taking Compass bearing and Map reading
Good and efficient crampon practise
Learning techniques to move on steep ground
