These two days gorillas trekking will start and end in Kigali which is a closer drive to Uganda Gorillas parks than it is from Kampala. The first day will be for traveling from Kigali to Kisoro via Chyanika border. The second day trek gorillas then return to Kigali the same day after the trekking.
Mgahinga Gorilla National Park is located in the Virunga Mountains and encompasses three inactive volcanoes, namely Mount Muhabura, Mount Gahinga, and Mount Sabinyo. In altitude the national park ranges from 2,227 to 4,127 m (7,306 to 13,540 ft) and is part of the Nile River watershed area. It is contiguous with Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park and the southern sector of Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The volcanoes’ slopes contain various ecosystems and are biologically diverse, and their peaks provide a striking backdrop to this gorgeous scenery.
Our driver will meet you at your hotel in Kigali and transfer you to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, the 4hours journey to the park will include the border crossing. You’ll need an East African visa that you’ll obtain at the Kigali International Airport. On the way, you’ll have spectacular views of the terraces of the Ugandan and Rwandan mountains. This area is called the ‘Switzeland of Africa’. Arrival late in the afternoon, enjoy self walk in the nearby villages, dinner and overnight
