OVERVIEW:

Mikumi is Tanzania’s fourth-largest national park. It’s also the most accessible from Dar es Salaam. With almost guaranteed wildlife sightings, it makes an ideal safari destination for those without much time (Its a 4 hour drive or 1 hour flight from Dar es Salaam). It is situated less than 300 kilometers' from Dar es Salaam, which makes it a very popular park due to its accessibility. The Mikumi flood plain dominates the park, where lion is commonly seen as are packs of wild dog, a rarity elsewhere in Africa. Leopard, Giraffe, elephant, zebra, buffalo, wildebeest, eland, crocodiles, monitor lizard and python are some of the many inhabitants of Mikumi.

Pick-up:
Note: Pick-up starts 3 hours before departure. We offer pick-up and Drop-off from any hotel in Zanzibar Island or Dar es salaam. 

Early breakfast depart from your hotel at 06:00 am to Dar es salaam arrival in Dar es Salaam depart at 07:30 am to Mikumi by 4x4, Arrival in the Park after 4 hours depending on the traffic on the highway, lunch at Morongoro Town then drive into Mikumi National Park. Game drive till late in the evening dinner and overnight 

 Morning:

• From Zanzibar: Fly to Dar es Salaam (optional ferry available).
• From Dar es Salaam: Depart early in a comfortable 4x4 safari vehicle.
• Enjoy the scenic drive (approx. 5–6 hours).
• Enjoy a hot lunch on the way

Afternoon:

• Arrive at Mikumi National Park.
• Proceed with Game Drive inside the park.

Evening:

• Embark on a thrilling game drive.
• Spot iconic wildlife like lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, hippos, and various bird species.
• Enjoy the sunset over the savanna.

Dinner and Overnight Stay:

• Options: Mid-range or luxury lodges/tented camps inside or near the park.

Early Morning:
