6 DAYS TSAVO EAST, AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK, AND TAITA HILLS WILDLIFE SANCTUARY.
OVERVIEW;
As you walk out of the Hotel in Diani, Your Scenery Adventures Guide will be at the reception ready to take you through your Safari. You will take a drive to Mombasa International Airport to pick other clients before proceeding to Tsavo East National Park. You will also Visit Amboseli National Park and Taita hills Wildlife Sanctuary in search of the big five as you also appreciate the beautiful Sceneries Kenya is made off. After your Safari, you will be dropped at Mombasa.
This day Marks the beginning of your Safari, your Scenery Adventures Tour Guide will be at your hotel by 05:45hrs and depart from the hotel by 06:00hrs. You will have a stop over at Moi International Airport, Mombasa, to pick up other clients and proceed direct to Tsavo East National Park.
The park is the largest national park in Kenya (13,747 sq. km) and is home to many large animals like rhinos, buffalos, lions, leopards, pods of hippos, crocodiles, and more. The park also supports a thriving 500 species of birds. It is the best national park in Kenya. The wildlife, the scenery, the vibe, the pristineness—all of it is so charming and pure in ways other parks cannot compare. The park boasts Kenya’s largest elephant population, 40 different wildlife species, 500 bird species, and countless recreational activities. The sight of dust-red elephants wallowing in the mud is commonplace here, with Tsavo boasting the highest population of elephants in Kenya.
You will have an en route game drive before heading to the hotel. By noon time you will drive to the hotel, arrive in time for Lunch, check in in your rooms and relax as you prepare for an evening game drive. Dinner and Overnight at Voi Safari Lodge.
This day you can have a very early morning Game drive before having your breakfast and drive back to hotel for breakfast by 08:00hrs. After that you can embark on your full day game drive inside the park. Some of the attraction you may come across the park include;
:: Elephant in Eden – The sight of dust-red elephant wallowing, rolling and spraying each other with the midnight blue waters of palm-shaded Galana River is one of the most evocative images of Africa.
:: Aruba Dam – The beautiful Aruba dam located on the north bank of the seasonal Voi River, is visited by thousands of animals and a great game viewing destination.
:: Mudanda Rock – This whale –backed Rock towers above a natural dam, which acts as a draw to thousands of Elephants
:: The longest lava flow in the world- at 300 kilometers in length, the heat shimmering edge of yatta plateau is the longest lava flow in the world and an ornithological paradise that attract migrating birds from all over the world.
:: Lugards Falls – Named after Captain Lugard, the first proconsul to East Africa, the falls feature bizarrely eroded rocks through which the waters of the Galana River plunge into foaming rapids and crocodile –infested poo ls.
You will have packed lunch or drive back to hotel for Lunch and then get back to game drive till dark. Dinner and Overnight at Voi Safari Lodge.
After having your breakfast, you will check out of the hotel by 08:30hrs and have an enroute game drive heading to Amboseli National Park, The home of Jumbos.
You will arrive at Sentrim Camp Amboseli in time for Lunch, check in in your rooms, have lunch, relax and freshen up as you prepare for an evening game drive till dark. Dinner and overnight at Sentrim Amboseli Camp.
This day, you will Breakfast by 06:30hrs and drive to the park for full day game drive with your packed lunch.
The park is well-known for being the best place in the world to get up close and personal with free-roaming elephants, as well as its location at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, just an hour’s flight from Nairobi. Apart from elephants, many plains animals are easily visible. There are fantastic photo opportunities, and early mornings are best for clear views of Mount Kilimanjaro. The name “Amboseli” comes from a Maasai word meaning “salty dust”, and it is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here, ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli to wetlands with Sulphur springs, the savannah and woodlands. They can also visit the local Maasai community, which lives around the park and experience their authentic culture.

On your fifth day, you will have breakfast at your Camp and Check out by 09:00hrs. You will embark on a 4 hours drive to Taita Hills wildlife sanctuary where you will check in at Salt Lick Safari Lodge in time for Lunch. After your lunch and relaxing, you will prepare for an evening game drive in the sanctuary till Dark.
The sanctuary straddles the Southern Tsavo West National Park and is an important dispersal area and migrating corridor for wildlife between Tsavo East National Park and Tsavo West National Park, making it a highly valued tourism recreational area and of ecological importance. The topography is generally mountainous and offers breathtaking landscape views of the Kilimanjaro, Pare, and Uluguru mountains and the clusters of Taita Hills, with a seasonal river dividing the sanctuary into valleys and lowland plains.
The sanctuary hosts over 50 larger mammals, including elephants, zebras, cape buffaloes, giraffes, lions, leopards, cheetahs, varied antelopes, and an array of over 390 bird species that include resident, intra-African, and palaetric migrants. Dinner and Overnight at Saltlick Safari Lodge.
Sadly, this is your last day of your safari. You will have an early morning game drive from 06:00hrs for 2 hour and drive back to hotel for Breakfast. You will be expected to check out of the rooms by 10:00hrs and then take a 4 hours’ drive to Mombasa. Drop off will be in Mombasa.
