Gather for a week of intentional learning while cultivating relaxation, mindfulness, joy, gratitude and peace in a small group setting (4-12 people). We’ll deepen our yoga and mindfulness practices as we study the basic elements of the Mayan cosmovision and the sacred Mayan calendar through fire ceremony, yoga-based workshops and personal readings.
The Mayan Cosmovision is a worldview in which our interdependence with all of nature is explained through the wisdom of the Mayan calendar and the cycles of the sacred day count.
This work reveals great mysteries to those who are aligned, grounded and open. You will be guided into a daily meditation to connect with the energy of each day in the Mayan calendar. This will help you understand how to work with the energies and elements of the Mayan cosmovision and let this guide you into a natural creation flow and apply this to your daily life.
These practices will likely open you up to a new perspective on life and facilitate a deeper connection with yourself and a more natural unfolding of your projects, purpose and inspiration.
This retreat is unique in its offering to make the traditional Mayan cosmovision wisdom accessible by learning directly from Mayan elders.
Our first Mayan fire ceremony will be led by a Mayan spiritual guide called Tata Thomas. He will open the portal of Mayan wisdom through the sacred fire. In our closing Mayan fire and cacao ceremony with Mayan spiritual guides and traditional midwives Nanas Ixquik and Rosalia, you’ll have the splendid opportunity to experience the heart-opening medicine of cacao from a true lineage of cacao wisdomkeepers. The cacao we will drink is grown from the trees on their land, ritually seeded and processed.
It is truly an honor and a blessing to bring these elders to our retreat and share the medicine with you all. Bringing the Heart Wisdom of the Mayan people to your heart.
