About this trip

This certification is recognized all over the world and will allow you to teach locally and even globally.

This will be a small group and there is limited space.

Registration will open August 1st.

To be considered for this training fill out the form below.

This teacher training is for those who want to teach others and for those who wish to simply deepen their own practice.

During this training we will cover the principles of Hatha Yoga, philosophy & history of yoga, physical asana (postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), methodology (styles, sequencing, & assisting), meditation, mantras, chakras & more. You will be provided a professional manual. You will have at least 5 hours of lead teaching time before graduation, and virtual classes to support your continual education on weekends between sessions. If you miss a day or entire weekend we will have make up work and virtual offerings to make up for it. Note: you may only miss one weekend, and we encourage that is only if it is absolutely necessary.

Your teachers

Your primary instructors are North Carolina natives Diala Hamed and Jot Anant. These two met by coincidence in India while studying Akhanda Yoga under Yogrishi Vishvketu.

They have spent hundreds of hours in the ashram learning together and earning their 500 E-RYT certificates. They share a passion for the practice that goes beyond the physical postures, yet deliver the ancient wisdom in very inspiring and different methods.

Together, they have led international retreats and yoga teacher trainings. Now they are bringing

the wisdom of ancient India to NC, and can’t wait to share it with you in modern and intriguing ways.

There will be several other guest teachers over the course of the training.

What a relaxing and wonderful weekend with good people! The grounds were beautiful and peaceful, I enjoyed the workshops, loved the yoga, the firepit was awesome, great vegetarian food, and awesome people! I can't wait until the next retreat!

Our weekend was an amazing experience, and that was all thanks to Nova Yoga & Retreats! The location was beautiful for a peaceful yoga get-away. The personal touches made the guests feel welcomed and special. The itinerary and food choices were perfection. No detail went unnoticed. I cannot wait for my next retreat!

This was my first retreat with Nova Yoga and could not be happier. The location was beautiful with low clouds filling the surrounding valleys in the morning and a beautiful starry sky at night. The weather couldn't have been better. The food was delicious, healthy, and plentiful and the excursions were fun and enabled us to explore the local area. And, of course, the yoga. There were multiple instructors and each session had a great but unique vibe that made me not want to miss a single session. The instructors were interactive and responsive to the class which let each student find their own peak posse or posses. In addition to asanas, there were group exercises, meditation, and journaling practices. All of which allowed the participant to explore to their individual level of comfort at their own pace. Overall, I had a wonderful experience, met new friends, and am looking forward to my next retreat with Nova Yoga.

This was such an amazing retreat, I was expecting mostly a lot of yoga but it was so much more. A lot of fun activities and relaxation mixed in, an ideal summer retreat at the top of the mountain with superb views, amazing teachers, and awesome people. This turned out to be the highlight of my summer. Thank you!

Fantastic location! The view over the mountains was breathtaking and we could see all the stars and the milky way during night. I loved the decor of the hangar. We were sleeping in the "hallway" and I slept like a baby. I think that some light sleepers had trouble sleeping but I didn't. The bed was super comfy and it was a very dark corner of the building. Diala provided us with ear plugs as well :-) I did bring my own pillow and duvet, and that might have helped. The food served during the weekend was very yummy and it was fun to try some new dishes and types of food that I would never have cooked myself. Everything was fresh and there were fruit and snacks available the whole time. We tried several different types of yoga and went paddleboarding and hiking, so it was an active weekend! Diala and Lauren are both very good and inspiring yoga teachers. The lake and the river where we went swimming were in such beautiful settings. I ran in the mornings, but the hangar is located on the mountain so unless you want to run downhill and then uphill, you have to run several rounds around the houses, which was ok since the view was amazing. It did get chilly, especially the first evening and morning, so bring enough layers. Our group was also really cool. People were very relaxed and friendly and we had loads of fun.
