How the Program Flows (balanced approach)

Balanced approach: Both phases include philosophy, physiology, sequencing, cueing, assists, theming, classroom craft & practicums. The emphasis shifts by style: Vinyasa in Phase 1, Yin in Phase 2.

Phase 1 — Vinyasa Focus, Teaching Methodology & Practicums

  • Vinyasa sequencing strategies (wave/arc, peak-pose, intention-led design)

  • Cueing & class craft (rhythm/cadence, breath-timed language, music/silence, pacing)

  • Assists/adjusts for dynamic practice (consent, principles of touch, alignment & variability)

  • Classroom management, theming, trauma-sensitive considerations in movement contexts

  • Practice-teaching clinics, assessments & professional readiness (ethics, scope, simple launch plan)

Rest & Integration Days

  • Space for recovery, reflection, sharing circles & island exploration

Phase 2 — Yin & Chinese Medicine (shared with the 100-Hour)

  • Fascia anatomy; meridian theory; visceral organ functions; nervous system & vagus nerve

  • Yin archetypes; Myofascial release (Myoyin, Acuyin); pranayama, meditation, hand mudras

  • Functional asana labs (skeletal variations, props, regressions/progressions)

  • Trauma-sensitive awareness & safety in stillness

  • Yin-specific teaching skills: sequencing by archetype/target area, cueing for stillness & safety, supportive assists/props, theming, observation & feedback

  • Integrated practice teaching as relevant to Yin

Note: The 100-Hour Yin cohort shares Phase 2 with the 200-Hour group; the 200-Hour cohort completes Phase 1 (Vinyasa) in addition to Phase 2 to earn RYT-200.
