About this trip

TRANSFORM YOUR PASSION.
DEEPEN YOUR OWN PRACTICE.
EXPAND YOUR KNOWLEDGE.
HONE YOUR SKILLS.

Yoga is a lifelong practice that goes from what you've done on the mat, into your personal life, and stays with you to forge a shared connection with your sangha, your community. When we practice the physical asanas, we are witness to changes in our physical and emotional bodies. When we teach, we share our passion, knowledge, skill, and love of this practice with our students.

Join Danni Pomplun, Yvonne Kingsley, and team for 12 weeks of learning, introspection, and inquiry for a training that will be sure to make a lasting impression your life.

THE PROGRAM

This Yoga Alliance certified 200-hour training is designed to provide you with the groundwork, knowledge, skill and confidence to begin teaching yoga. Through lectures, practicums, asana practices, external reading, and other activities, you will learn the fundamentals of vinyasa yoga.

This program will run through weekends (Friday-Sunday) in 2019 starting on the first weekend of March through the second week of June, with two breaks for Easter and Memorial Day.

The curriculum of this teacher training will cover anatomy, history of yoga, yoga philosophy, intelligent sequencing, teaching methodology, breath work/pranayama, meditation, physical adjustments and assists, and the business of yoga.

THE INSTRUCTORS

Danni Pomplun

Yoga is a metaphor for life. That said, I think yoga should be fun. I’m not saying it won’t be challenging or encourage you to test and expand your limits, but yoga is about your own personal journey, and I don’t know about you, but I want my journey to be a freaking fun one. I am an E-RTY500 instructor, and a member of the teacher training faculty at Yoga Tree. I’m also a real person, and I recognize that I’m teaching real people.

My students resonate with my functional, down-to-earth approach and my ability to combine the mentally restorative aspects of yoga with the functional physical work that it entails. I am grateful to work alongside my teachers and mentors Jason Crandell & Darren Main, who have helped influence my teaching style.

Yvonne Kingsley

I am deeply committed to living and sharing the path of yoga. Inspired by the power of this practice to transform my life, I left a decade-long advertising career, dedicating myself to help others find a clear and centered place within themselves. As an E-RYT500 teacher, I encourage my students to cultivate awareness, curiosity and compassion - both on and off the mat.

Training extensively with Jason Crandell and Kia Miller has influenced my grounded and intentional style of teaching. My classes blend rhythmic flow, attention to alignment, mindfulness, and intelligent sequencing. I truly believe the holistic practice of yoga gives us the tools to live a more conscious, vibrant and purposeful life.

Yoga is a metaphor for life. That said, I think yoga should be fun. I’m not saying it won’t be challenging or encourage you to test and expand your limits, but yoga is about your own personal journey, and I don’t know about you, but I want my journey to be a freaking fun one. I am a 500-hr Registered Yoga Instructor, and a member of the teacher training faculty at Yoga Tree. I’m also a real person, and I recognize that I’m teaching real people. We all have our own stories. Mine has some twists and turns through a tough childhood and young adult years blurred by frustration, drugs, alcohol, and a near-death brush with cancer, and I credit yoga with helping me to become healthy and opening my eyes to a world of positive opportunities. I’m truly grateful to now be able to share what I’ve learned with others, whether it’s on the mat in my home base of San Francisco, in another location for an immersion or workshop, or through my online yoga platform.

Food for the soul. Nice balance between yoga retreat and extracurricular activities. Was not expecting so much focus on the meditation, chanting, and journaling--which, for me, is way harder than the physical practice. I needed it and really appreciated the heart Danni put into the guided meditations. I loved the high quality food the chefs at Soulshine prepared for us daily. The veggie forward menu made me feel great. They could have spiced it up a bit, I felt like they really tamed down (omitted) the heat from what traditionally would be spicy dishes. But the service and friendliness at the resort was top notch. I would have appreciated more detailed descriptions (maybe websites to check out before the trip) of the daily excursion options. In a couple instances, the level of physical exertion, skill required, or conditions were definitely misrepresented. But I thought the offerings were wonderful and really enjoyed everything I did.

I had an amazing time! The group was truly wonderful, the venue was a dream and very comfortable. The staff at Soulshine was beyond accommodating and the food was delicious (those pancakes though!). Thank you for an experience I will never forget!!!

The recharge retreat was magical. The location of the resort was nicely tucked away within the rice fields giving a sense of tranquility. The mix of mediation and yoga perfectly fed the atmosphere. It was a wonderful group of genuine, caring, inspiring souls. It was a great mix of relaxation, adventure and exploration.

Fabulous!! The accommodations were very clean and very comfortable. The food was excellent!! The staff was friendly and efficient, and very helpful. There was a variety of activities and services available. Lots of restaurants, shops, and galleries in the nearby town made it a great place for day trips. The yoga room was very spacious, and there were ample mats and props. Danni is a great yoga teacher, and worked really hard to make this a very enjoyable and relaxing trip for everyone. Highly recommended!!!
