About this trip

At Sunshine Yoga School we understand that choosing the right fit for your 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training  is an important decision. Our team of facilitators mindfully created a comprehensive curriculum that will not only expand your own yoga practice, but provide you with the skills to empower others through the practice of yoga and your own personal experience of living a yogic lifestyle both on and off the mat. If you are looking for a quality program that will exceed your expectations with a short commitment time, then this 200 hour immersion might be right for you.

Sunshine Yoga's 16-day yoga teacher training immersion is nestled under the oak trees on the beautiful Northwest Florida waterfront where you will live, breathe, and study yoga in residency. Under the guidance of experienced teachers, you will participate in daily yoga classes, meditation sessions, informational & motivational workshops, and practice teaching with your peers. In between sessions, enjoy the amenities of our beautiful waterfront property and indulge in delicious and healthy meals prepared by our personal gourmet chef!

Sunshine Yoga School is an official Registered Yoga School for continuing education with Yoga Alliance. Upon successful completion of the course, graduates will receive their 200 hr Hatha-Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training certificate from Sunshine Yoga and will meet the requirements for obtaining their official RYT 200 designation through Yoga Alliance.

The Location

The training and accommodations will be nestled in a community setting on the shore of the Choctawhatchee Bay just over the bridge from Destin, FL. This hidden gem is a rustic, yet cozy, spot to disconnect, learn, practice, and grow. The site is on a beautiful, multiple-acre campus which includes a dining hall, 2 indoor lecture/class halls, student housing with heating and air conditioning, and places indoors & outdoors to study, practice, reflect and relax.

All students and instructors will be living onsite for the duration of the training. Three tiers of accommodations are offered for students, which include private rooms in cottages, shared rooms in cottages, and beds in shared cabins.  To preserve the purity of the training and tradition of the practice, students will be housed separately according to gender.

The Experience

Students will become immersed in a daily routine conducive to studying yoga and developing a healthy lifestyle as a community. This includes daily meditation sessions, yoga classes, lectures, workshops on yoga asana, theory, philosophy & self improvement, nutrition as well as some free time for reflection, studying, time outdoors, optional group activities, and individual one-on-one time with instructors.

3 delicious meals will be prepared and served daily by our professional gourmet chef. All meals are 100% vegan, gluten free, organic & locally sourced to fully support the yogic lifestyle both in wellness & ethics. Students and facilitators will dine together in a common space.

This training will prepare students to become yoga teachers in their communities at home, as well as improve their quality of life, self confidence, and create a foundation and connection with others in the group and the global yoga community as a whole.

Training Facilitators

The training will be hosted and facilitated by Sunshine Yoga founder & teacher Kim Mosby with the full time support of teachers Rebecca Austin & Brian Jones. Each facilitator brings years of diverse experience and knowledge to the training, creating a well-rounded format and in-depth content platform for this experience. Expect to laugh, learn, and grow together!

Due to the compressed schedule and to preserve cohesiveness and effectiveness of the training environment, we are asking prospective students to review & commit to several requirements prior to registering (see below). A commitment to yourself, your peers, and respect for the training will contribute to a successful and profound experience for all involved. Upon registration, you agree that you will uphold our standards and failure to do so may result in non-completion of the program.

*You’ve been practicing or studying yoga consistently, preferably at least one year

*You're willing to commit to eating a healthy diet during and after training

*You're willing to complete any pre-arrival readings and assignments (To be assigned after registration)

*You understand the student body might vary in age, sex, race, & ethnicity with diverse backgrounds. As a yogi, you must learn to respect all people as they are, work to co-habitate & work with others, accommodate & accept them in their present nature. Racism, Ageism, Sexism & any  form of discrimination or harassment will not be tolerated

*You understand substance abuse and tobacco/nicotine use is prohibited during training and will result in immediate dismissal of the program

*You understand the core content of this training is based on the Yoga Alliance requirements for students to qualify for a 200 hour yoga teacher training certification. 100% participation & dedication is required over the entire 16 days

Missing any portion of this training or failure to adhere to the above expectations may disqualify you from graduating this course and receiving your certificate of completion.

Your Organizer

Sunshine Yoga
The true essence of yoga and it's infinite wisdom lies in the heart of every human being. This is what Kim discovered when she first started practicing yoga.  In 2013 destiny led Kim to northern India where she earned her 200-hour Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Certification at Ajarya Yoga Academy under the supervision of traditional Indian Yoga Masters. It was then that Kim realized that her initial training was only just the beginning. When she returned from India, a series of divine events led her to open a place for people to gather, learn, and explore in a comfortable, welcoming environment, and thus Sunshine Yoga was born.  Sunshine Yoga Registered Yoga School is the essence of Kim's passion for the teachings of yoga. Kim and her team carefully design each training program with the student in mind, whether the goal is to dive deeper into their self-practice or become a teacher of this ancient practice.
