About this trip
Join us as we travel to Ghana, Africa. We will spend 7 days in Ghana visiting the areas of Accra, Kumasi, and Cape Coast. We will be hosted by local advisors who will expose us to the Ghanaian way of life. On this journey, we will experience the beauty of West Africa and explore and experience West African culture and history.
Country Overview
Named after the medieval Ghana Empire, the Republic of Ghana was established after the dismemberment of the Empire of Ghana. Ghana has the unique honor to be the first Black African Nation that attained independence from colonial rule in 1957. Accra, the Capital City of Ghana, is replete with unique culinary experiences, colorful nightlife, the beauty of nature, museums, and much more. The Independence Square, known as the Black Star Square, was established to pay Queen Elizabeth – II homage. It is the second-largest city square in the world. Makola Market, National Museum of Ghana, Ussher Fort Museum, Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, Memorial Park, James Town, and Ga Mashie (Old Accra) are some of the best places to visit in Accra city.
