Come on up to the Northwoods in the summertime and have a fun weekend adventure on the water with a group of like-minded women on our Wisconsin Women’s Apostle Islands Kayaking Weekend.
The Apostle Islands National Lakeshore is a U.S. national lakeshore consisting of 21 islands and about 70,000 acres of shoreline. It is known for its collection of historic lighthouses, sandstone sea caves, a few old-growth remnant forests, and cultural history. For us, it is the perfect playground for adventure and exploration.
On our Wisconsin Women’s Apostle Islands Kayaking Weekend our team will introduce participants to sea kayaking on beautiful Lake Superior. We will spend a lot of time on the water exploring both mainland shoreline and have a full day adventure out to Sand Island. Topside, we will walk on forest trails, visit a nearby orchard, and finish the adventure with a boat cruise of the Apostle Islands.

What others are saying...
"I just got home from Apostle Island kayak with Tim. What an awesome experience. As you know, Tim is the most amazing guide!! I can't say enough about him. The trip exceeded my expectations from the get go. Amazing accommodations. Great group of women. But Tim was exceptional. He kept our safety a priority, great personality, obviously super fit and knowledgeable. I never doubted him for a minute. I will definitely look for him to be my guide in the future. Let me know where to share my opinions!! Absolutely wonderful! I was also provided all the info I needed to prepare for the trip. THANK YOU!” Elaine S

Today is a full day on the water. We will kayak from Sand Bay to Sand Island. Experience crossing big water as you traverse Lake Superior's mainland shoreline to Sand Island. Explore sea caves along the island, and take a hike to a light house after a picnic lunch.
Sand Island is one of the 22 Apostle Islands and is one of the most diverse naturally and culturally; fantastic sea caves, a historic lighthouse, hiking trails, beaches, apple orchards, even model T Fords! Since time won't allow us to explore everything Sand Island has to offer we will base our itinerary on safety and group interests.
Dinner will be takeout from a local restaurant.

After breakfast, we will head west to the town of Cornucopia for our kayaking experience on Bark Bay. To access Big Bay, we meander on a slough through a wetland until we enter the big water. We will spend the morning and early afternoon exploring the scenic shoreline in our kayaks with lunch on a secluded beach.
Late afternoon we will visit a local orchard or berry farm to sample some of the fruits that are in season.
Dinner out at a restaurant.

I enjoy teaching people how to paddle. This trip will immerse you into the natural beauty of the water, the geology and unique features of paddling the largest of the Great Lakes. Fun, adventure and memories are the rewards of paddling with me as your guide.
