      About this trip

Lapped by the azure Ionian and Aegean seas, Greece is considered the cradle of Western civilization. From art to science and democracy to philosophy, the accomplishments of the ancient Greeks have shaped the foundations of Western civilizations. Meanwhile, both the Greek mainland and its 6,000 islands enchant with their unique beauty, archaeological treasures and the glittering aquamarine seas that surround them. During the Athens and the Greek Isles Tour, we will embark on an exclusive voyage of discovery, follow the ancient epic tales and encounter history where it was made, while getting immersed in the flavors, colors and traditions of Greece.

Wonderful people, small, tight accommodations for double rooms, good food. Tour was very passive and not interactive enough for me. Saw a good portion of Switzerland which was good!

The trip was well planned. I met 16 wonderful women. Our tour guide, Marta Rz., was knowledgeable and inspiring. This was my first trip with Sights & Souls. It didn’t disappoint! Debra L.

It was a great trip. Our trip leader, Marta, was excellent and went above and beyond to take care of us. Hotels, food, and activities were all excellent.

This was my first experience with a travel group and it was wonderful. Our tour director, Eileen Grant, was great and the women in the group made it very enjoyable. I highly recommend going to Scotland, it's beautiful and the Scots are just as friendly.

Before I went on the Poland tour, my friends at home asked "Why would you go to Poland?" The answer now is that it is a beautiful country with lots of history, great food and drinks and lovely people --exactly as I expected! Poland has endured a lot in the past and we should all learn about that. Warsaw and Krakow have the European Old Town vibe and modern amenities without the hordes of tourists and a bit more economical than the rest of Europe. We also saw the beautiful countryside in our trips to the National Parks. Marta, the tour director, was outstanding as always and she gave us many insights into life in Poland. What a better way to spend a Sunday than lunch at Lazienki Palace and a Chopin concert in the Rose Garden! I'm usually not a fan of cooking but our class was a lot of fun, a credit to the two instructors and the tour members who all pitched in to make a great meal. There were more highlights, some sombre, some beautiful, but all in, a very worthwhile and enjoyable trip.
