      About this trip

The Low Countries of Holland and Belgium embrace the North Sea which over the centuries has become a vital part of their cultural and even physical fabric. These two small countries in Northern Europe are bursting with cultural and artistic riches, offering a journey through the Old World that is unlike any other part of Europe. The region is home to innumerable quaint towns with gravity-defying houses built on top of labyrinthine canals, golden cities with celebrated museums featuring some of history’s greatest masterpieces, fairy-tale castles, unspoiled farmland cut with waterways and dotted with windmills, and picture-perfect countryside carpeted with millions of flowers, all straight from the pages of a storybook. Fabulously historic, filled with the cutting-edge art, both old and new, the cities of Amsterdam and Bruges are full of unexpected riches: romantic canals, watery landscapes which inspired Vermeer and his contemporaries, imposing architecture and creative cuisine (topped with the world's best chocolate!), and getting to know this part of Europe offers unforgettable rewards of having truly experienced the Old World.

The trip was fantastic! A once in a lifetime adventure. The itinerary was wonderful as well as the food and the accommodations. My only complaint would be that the evening dinners sometimes lasted 3 hours and that took a toll on the travelers that wanted to relax after a day of sightseeing. Too many dinners that extended too long into the evening. Otherwise, I have no complaints.

I had a wonderful time. The tour leader Marta was excellent, she went above and beyond. Highly recommend this trip.

I had a wonderful trip with a great group of women. The timing was perfect to see the magnificent gardens and fields of tulips in bloom. Chocolate making in Belgium was fun and tasty. I can't say enough about Sights and Soul travel for the itinerary, hotels and restaurants chosen. Our tour director, Marta was amazing and fun to be around as she always went above and beyond for everyone.

I had a wonderful time. The S&S guide, Marta, was fantastic! The local guide in Amsterdam, LaRae was awesome. The bus driver from Amsterdam to Bruges was only interested in getting us to Bruges within his timeframe and not about us or the tour. He wasn't very nice to Marta. I am looking forward to another tour with S&S in the near future. Thank you. Julie

This was my first trip with Sights and Souls and I can't wait for the next one! I went as a solo, knowing no one in the group, and returned with 15 new friends who also love to travel. The tulips at Keukenhof and chocolate making in Bruge are some of my favorite memories. I can't say enough good things about our guide, Marta. I hope to travel with her again!
