Magne, a native of Fosnavåg, Norway, grew up on an island on the west coast of Norway. Born with an adventurous spirit, Magne could be found biking, hiking and skiing the mountains of Norway.
In 1976, his adventures took him to Minneapolis. "Where are the mountains?" Magne recalls his first impression of Minnesota. Mountains were not to be found, but he soon felt right at home amongst many Norwegian Americans. Magne's two sons, Per and Hans also live in the Twin Cities.

We had the most wonderful trip of a lifetime. The trip was a great combination of active time and time on our own to go exploring. We had a fantastic tour guide leader, Magne that made the trip complete. His knowledge, experience, humor and caring personality made this trip special. The hotels and meals provided were excellent. The bus rides, train rides and boat rides provided so much fun for us. We loved the mix of cities, small towns, and country scencery of mountains and fjords. This trip was so much more than we ever expected., and as a bonus we had a fun group of people to travel with on this trip. We would do this all again in a heartbeat. Thank you Magne and Trollhaugen tours!

Our trip was wonderful! We had the chance to enjoy the National Holiday of Syttende Mai with many parades, a celebration service, and a beautiful breakfast including Marizpan cake to start our day! We enjoyed stays in the three major cities, time in the fjords, 2 nights at Stalheim with amazing views, a beautiful drive and stops in the snow mountain plateau. The trip was well planned and gave us so much each day! The group was terrific! The dinners were delicious! Thank you for the marvelous time!

The 2023 Majestic Norway Tour was excellent from start to finish. Our group of 19 had awesome scenery around every bend and curve be it by train, bus, ferry, flam or funicular. The hotels and food were top notch as were the Volvo private tour busses and all-electric ferry. Owners Magne and Cindy have many, many years of experience putting together travel tours and it shows. An excellent value for an amazing 10-day experience of a lifetime that included visiting historic and cultural sites plus celebrating Norwegian Constitution Day (May 17) in Trondheim. There was also ample time to explore Oslo, Trondheim, Stalheim, and Berge on our own. So thrilled to have been part of this trip. Thank you, Magne and Cindy.
