The Global Citizen Program is a series of international student travel programs designed and curated for middle, high school and college students.  We offer private class trips, as well as summer travel programs for teens.

Students will learn what it means to be a global citizen, not just by traveling abroad, but by stepping out of their comfort zone, engaging in meaningful conversations and being immersed in new cultures.

About this trip

Our local guide was outstanding! Flexible, knowledge, and interacted well with both adults and students. The timing of each day did not feel rushed but was packed with experiences.

Our trip was excellent! It was well organized and provided wonderful sights, great food and lodging, and lots of support both pre-travel and during travel. I enjoyed all contact with Jeff, Steve, and Eva. Alessandro, our travel manager, was one of the best I've ever had, and our entire group thought very highly of him. He was always ready to do whatever he could to help anyone out and never hesitated to go above and beyond what was required.  It is nice to travel with a company that takes such good care of their travelers! I am already looking forward to my next Global Citizen Program trip to Croatia!

The trip was so much fun! The accommodations, food and excursions were more than I expected. Alessandro was very knowledgeable and very helpful to everyone in our group. He is by far the best tour guide amoung the many tour groups I have previously travelled with. 

Amazing!  Everything was well thought out, reservations were complete and accurate, and our local tour guide was top notch!  Absolutely loved the itinerary and the mix of main attractions and quieter down time. Would not hesitate for a moment to travel with them again! 

Wonderful trip!!  We saw so much of the beautiful country thanks to Mary and our excellent guide, Alessandro!  Great accommodations, excellent food, and the right amount of time with our group and time on our own to explore.  I miss Italy and our group already!

We had a wonderful trip!  Friendly group, comfortable accommodations , good food and  a very comfortable bus to travel in with  exceptional drivers. Our guide, Alessandro couldn’t have done anything better!  He was always helpful, and patient with our large group!  You could tell he was proud of his homeland and full of  so much knowledge!  T h e local guide in Rome, Mara, also did a fantastic job. She had interesting information to share at every site!  Mary Summy did an awesome job of always checking on individuals and making sure we all had up to date info.  If she didn’t know the answer to a question - she always found it out !! 
Having Alessandro helping at each airport was very much appreciated !  He was an excellent problem solver!
The trip was a once in a life time experience and will always have wonderful memories !

The Alpine Europe trip took us to many amazing smaller cities and towns, as opposed to the major cities on most trips. Taking time in these smaller places really allowed us to explore and get to know these places. The trip up into the Alps was absolutely amazing and beautiful. Taking the steepest cog railway in the world up Mt Pilatus and then the cable cars down was definitely a unique experience. Walking on the rooftop of the Milan Cathedral was also amazing!!

My daughter took this trip with two attentive, kind, and responsible chaperones. She had a wonderful time experiencing Italian culture and forming lifelong friendships with new people from across the country. "Rome, Athens and The Greek Islands" - The Global Citizen Program

This trip was fabulous!  We learned so much about the country, ate delicious food, and had lifetime experiences! Our accommodations were always comfortable and beautiful and our tour guide was top-notch - both friendly and knowledgable.  The Global Citizen Program was available to us each step of the way.  Amazing trip!

"Costa Rica Explorer" with The Global Citizen Program

This was my first trip not with my family. I made such amazing friends and honestly it was the opportunity of a life time. I don’t rate it 5 stars because there is nothing I would change but because this trip changed me. I think that the tour guide we had was extremely unprofessional which was not appreciated at all. our leaders were amazing but a bit unorganized at times. we were always very punctual and respectful but still there were many things on the itinerary that we didn’t get to do that many of us wanted to. we had countless hours of free time everyday which i enjoyed most days. but for example when we were in germany on a sunday and EVERYTHING was closed, which they knew of, they should of found an activity for us to do instead of aimlessly walk around. However this being said, I loved this trip so much. The things that I saw with such amazing people was unreal and I had amazing time. I wouldn’t have wanted to spend these 12 days any way else. 

Our son had an amazing time in Peru - it was a life changing trip for him.  His group leaders were phenomenal and brought out the very best in each student as they explored the rich culture and profound spirituality of the Peruvian people and places. Thank you GCP for this experience of a lifetime. 

"Peru - Land of the Incas" with The Global Citizen Program

A very unique trip, amazing fun and knowledgable guides all along, great spirit and kindness of all travelers and guides, really smooth organization and amazing selection of hotels and restaurants. The guides and chaperones went above and beyond to make sure everyone is happy and healthy and safe. Students that have fallen ill were cared for in a professional and nurturing way. We could not have asked for a better foreign experience! I wood travel anywhere with that group! Thank you so much.

Trip of a lifetime! Well planned and orizanized. No detail was left out. Guides were super knowledgeable and friendly.  My daughter decribed it as "Magical".  Can not recommend this trip enough. 

"South Africa and Zimbabwe " - The Global Citizen Program

This was the trip of a lifetime! There was lots of good food - choices, large portions, and the ability to try lots of local dishes. Hotels were private, and comfortable. ,The experiences were varied, both educational, fun, and unique! 
I loved this trip!

My daughter had a wonderful time during her first international travel experience. The teacher leaders were fantastic with excellent communication!

As a teacher leader for Adventures in Italy, with The Global Citizen Program I could not be happier. Our trip was well planned and well paced. Our guides were excellent with the students.  Our day at the Agriturismo was fabulous.  This was the best meal and served at a leisurely pace. Our students were engaged from the start. We enjoyed the four major cities- Rome, Assisi, Florence and Venice. We had time in the country with white water rafting. Our tour manager was perfect. He was attentive to the needs of the teachers and the students. He had the schedule worked out and made the timings clear to all involved. He had excellent suggestions for the students to enjoy their free time. This is a program that I would gladly do again because of the excellence. 

I had a great time during this trip. The hospitality in Spain and the airplane was exceptional. All of the tours helped me learn a lot about Spain's history. Our tour guide was really sweet and made us feel welcomed in a new country. She even shared some personal experiences she had in Spain. Overall the trip was very fun and informative and I would love to visit Spain again.

Birch Grove - Costa Rica - Rincon de la Vieja & San Carlos

Our trip to Costa Rica was amazing! Our tour guide shared great information and insight into Costa Rican culture. The activities were exciting and everybody enjoyed them. We will all have special memories from this trip!

The students had a great time; For next year, we could make some adjustments to the travel plan, where students have more activities that force them to use the language and there is a clearer academic purpose so that at the end of the trip they can show a concrete result of what they learned during it.







We had a great trip! Our tour guides provided an amazing overview of Philly. For just a two day trip it was so full of a variety of experiences that we got the most out of our time there. 

Nock 8th Grade Trip to Philadelphia

We had a fantastic trip!  We brought 148 8th graders to Philly and the trip was smooth and full of fun and education!  The Global Citizen Program was extremely responsive to our needs and was there every step of the trip. I would highly recommend this travel company to any school interested in student travel. They truly are the best!

My son had an amazing time! He's still trying to decide if he preferred France or Spain. I guess we'll have to return to help us decide! Thank you for organizing this and providing such a wonderful experience for these kids!

The students had a wonderful, enriching experience. They were able to make connections to their learning through real life experiences.

My child had a self described  "amazing experience". He loved his guide Jonah and they were able to experience all the highlights of Washington, DC.  We are grateful that he had such a rich experience.

Explore EcoSTEM in Iceland with Mayfair Laboratory School

I can't recommend TGCP enough!  From the beginning, both Jeff and Steve were wonderful to work with!  They were awesome in helping to create our trip, suggesting wonderful things to do as well as listening to my wants and needs.  All along the process, from planning to travel, they were very accessible to any question I had.  
Our students and parents all had a wonderful time in Iceland, and our Tour Director, Aiden, and local Guide, Fabio, were simply amazing!  
We've already got our next two trips open for registration!

Our trip was exceptionally well planned, incredibly informative, and unbelievably fun! The leaders and students had a great time! We left feeling we had really seen Boston!

Overall great trip.  Only point of improvement would be the bus.  Our bus was old with no AC or plugs.

Philadelphia and Liberty Island

My son had a wonderful class trip to Philadelphia and Ellis Island! He had so much fun with his classmates and it was a great opportunity for him to develop more independence and confidence being away from home for the first time. 
His favorite parts were the boat cruise and dance, the Reading Terminal Market and the Eastern Penitentiary. 
I’m so happy he had his first taste of student travel. This is just the beginning!

My 8th grade daughter said the trip was "so much fun!". It was super organized with lots of high-interest activities.

My daughter had a great time in Philadelphia!! She really enjoyed to visit the city and travel with her friends! 

It was disorganized.  The museums were great and the guides were nice but the buses were terrible and the meals were not well planned.  

The trip was incredible! Every day from the moment we landed to the moment we left was packed with adventure and exploration!
