In Germany breakfast is not just a noun, it's also a verb. Even 3 star hotels put on a great breakfast and we encourage you to partake. It's going to be a long and exciting day. We will pick up our rental bikes, get packed up and head out of Munich early. Rising early guarantees us a smooth day with time for fun. We will take some easy back roads so you can get used to your bike before we head into Austria and up into the Alps. We’ll enjoy a few stops on the road so you can see just how different a full service European rest stop is. You’ll get a preview of the days to come by heading through some Dolomite passes before arriving at your home for the next 3 nights. A good sized room in a Swiss style chalet in a small Tyrolean town. These suites are generally made for vacationing skiers in the winter. Since it's the summer time, the resort is pleased to give riders like us friendly Alpine hospitality. The town is a resort community with plenty of stores, restaurants and other services but nothing too sophisticated.

Today is a jaw dropper of incredible vistas in the Dolomite Peaks with plenty of curves on what European riders call “Sella Round”. It’s time to make use of that OpenMove Sella Pass ticket as we start this morning. Because we planned ahead we can go and enjoy the road. Sella is just one of the passes we hit today but make sure you grab a sticker for each one. Next up Gardena Pass and then Falzarego, where Cat will need to stop and buy some cheese. There’s always a guy there selling local Alpinekäse right out of the back of a van. Then round the back of the mountains and up Passo Giau and stop for a late lunch. A stretch off the beaten path and then we finish the day with Passo Pordoi before heading back through some obligatory traffic to get to our hotel.

You figured out how your bike handles now Now it’s time to get off the tourist bus trail and go where only real riders go. A long stretch of back roads leads us up the narrow route of Manghen pass. There’s a reason buses don’t go on this road, they won’t fit, most cars avoid it to but up top you see other riders like you consider it a proper crazy road. Celebrate with a little homemade dried sausage before the crazy decent down the other side. Through the apple orchards and up Passo Brocon for lunch. Then Passo Rolle, Passo Valles and Passo San Pellegrino before we take a sneaky back way to avoid most of the valley traffic to our hotel.

Today is a highway burner but it’s not without some pleasant distractions. We head west for a scenic ride above Lake Garda. Then a stop at an Italian truck stop. Then we ride a three hour burn down the Autostrada to Tuscany. We want to get to our villa early and get a good nights sleep... Mugello Circuit awaits us tomorrow.

It’s time to do your first day on Mugello. Marcel will be your lead instructor and you will be assigned an additional coach who will follow and video your progress each day. Today it’s about getting used to the dancing rhythm of Mugello. You also are getting used to the BMW S1000RR. The track surface is excellent and the facilities are top notch. Take a moment to realize you are actually there at Mugello, Italy’s most famous motorcycle circuit.

Again this morning we ride our street bikes over to the circuit from our hotel. Our luggage truck brings your track gear over so you can change at the circuit. Expect some hot temperatures so your included custom VnM Sport top is going to come in handy. Follow your instructors' constant refrain to drink plenty of water or you will get mentally fuzzy. Today it’s about boosting your speed and braking earlier but softer.

It’s time to put it all together with some interesting body position strategies from your coaches. Your lap times are dropping and your speeds are rising. You are starting to get a glimpse of what it’s like to ride this course on a MotoGP machine. Tonight we celebrate with a honking big Bistecca ala Fiorentia (T-Bone Steak Florence Style). It goes very well with the local red wine and your body will need the protein.

We've just done 3 days of track time and we've got a long ride ahead of us to get back to Munich. Time to recharge in the Tuscan sun at our sumptuous villa. Afternoon sport touring ride to Sambucca pass if you simply can't stay still.

It’s another long day with some highway work but not before we enjoy the curves of Tuscany. Ride up over the Apennine pass of Abetone until we get to the city of Modena. From there we take the Autostrada until the town of Brescia where we begin our assent into the Alps. A long tunnel will bring us up to speeding along the coast of Lake Iseo. The valley road brings us to a narrow turn off for Passo dei Mortirolo. This a tiny back road famed for bicycle racing that takes us from one Alpine valley to another. Another short valley road run and we are in Bormio.

This morning we ride Stelvio for breakfast. We ride the valley highway east through apple orchards to until we head north again. Our final Alp pass awaits and it’a good one, Timmelsjoch. Riding down into Austria was avoid the main highway and go towards the town of Seefeld. Some final twists in the Bavarian hill country before we bring it in to Munich. Damn straight we are drinking tonight.
