ITINERARY
RELAX, RELATE, RELEASE, REFRESH, RENEW. ENJOY Your Gratitude Holiday RETREAT in Kigali, Rwanda
Day 1
Arrive at Kigali International Airport with a warm welcome and airport transport to your Gratitude Holiday Retreat home for the week. Experience Rwandan hospitality and a warm welcome from our retreat team. Relax poolside, visit the Spa and enjoy the hotel amenities as you settle in, relax and exhale from the journey. You are in for a time of refreshment, renewal, and discovery. Meet up with other Gratitude Holiday Retreat guests for our welcome dinner together.
Day 2
Our Gratitude Holiday Retreat continues with a scrumptious welcome breakfast, followed by our Signature REFRESH Retreat Experience. Explore the meaning of gratitude, release, and thanksgiving through this curated retreat. Set your intention for the week and connect with others on the journey.
Thanksgiving Celebration
Renew your mind and expectations as you experience an African Thanksgiving like no other. Enjoy a special dinner featuring culinary delights from around the world. Share your own thanksgiving and gratitude traditions while creating new ones this year!
Day 3
We take the Gratitude Holiday Retreat into Kigali City with a special visit to the Nyamirambo Women’s Center. Retreat guests will have the opportunity to experience a traditional Rwandan cooking class, basket weaving, and/or a walking tour of the historic Nyamirambo neighborhood.
Ubuntu Global Journeys is committed to community-based tourism. Proceeds from our visit, along with a portion of our tour fees, support organizations like the Nyamirambo Women’s Center, which promotes economic empowerment for women, children, families, and communities throughout Kigali and Rwanda. In the evening, we’ll share our gratitude expressions and creative talents at Paint and Sip Kigali.
Day 4
Journal and journey through Kigali as we learn about the history and resilience of Rwanda. We’ll visit the historic Kigali Genocide Memorial and experience the sunset at Mereneza Mountain as we reflect on the day and our learnings.
Day 5
Reflect, rest and restore or join us as we visit local community and cultural events after a traditional Rwanda Sunday brunch feast. Personal Photo Sessions are available with our Retreat Photographer and Videographer.
Day 6
Free Day - Take a day of rest. Enjoy an adventure in the city. Book a Safari Day at Akagera park. Listen in to your heart and mind and decide what is refreshing for you. Also, opportunities for custom fit Rwanda, West and Central African clothing with our partner tailor are available.
Day 7
Investment, Relocation and Real Estate Day. Join us for a day of learning and discovery as we learn from Rwanda agencies, speakers and those who have relocated to Rwanda to learn about business, Africa relocation and investment
opportunities. Join us for an evening of culture and dance for African Fusion dance lessons.
Day 8
Exhale. As we wrap up our final full day of the Gratitude Holiday Retreat, we end the evening with a special Farewell and Sending Celebration. at one of Kigali's premier restaurants.
Day 9
We say good-bye for now. Some guests my opt-in for an extended stay VIP Day session with Dr. LaDonna our retreat host. Otherwise, we will see you in the Gratitude Holiday Reunion Meetup call and perhaps on another Africa Exhale Retreat or Ubuntu Journey in the future.
