The winds are calling us EAST. Our next move is hosting our second Open Invitational Mahjong Ladies Tournament hosted in Charleston, South Carolina!

I mean, could it be more perfect than CHARLESTON? We think not.

If you love to play mahjong and you love pretty places- you're with the right people!

We’ve taken our epic girls trips and given them a new twist: MAHJONG. (We already seem to play it on every Open Invite trip, anyway!)

We'll spend three nights along the beach of South Carolina. You'll wake up with the waves along the beachside property, play mahjong during the day (mixed in with good food and fun hang outs) and experience the Open Invitate magic for four days together. Our resort is 25 minutes outside of Charleston on the Isle of Palms- the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the resort, or hop in an uber and enjoy the historic charm of Charleston.

Prizes will be won, cute clothes will be worn, and lots of fun will be had.

This trip is for ladies who love to play mahjong. You should be able to play without help, but no further experience is needed. There will not be tutors on-site, so please be ready to play on arrival.

Please note: Games can be played with blanks for rounds outside of the tournament, but blanks will not be used during the tournament rounds.

This afternoon, arrive to the resort on your own time. Check-in officially begins at 3pm, but you're welcome to store bags on site, if you arrive early. (There's lots to see and do, so you won't be bored!)

This evening, the fun starts at 6pm. We'll kick off the weekend with an East Coast-chic welcome party- The EAST Winds- to celebrate our destination for the weekend.

After dinner, we'll start a few rounds of play. These are just for fun to get to know everyone and start warming up the Mahjong fun.

This morning, enjoy breakfast on your own- either downstairs or nearby at one of the cute beach cafes that are dotted around the area

At 10:00, the official play time will kick off. You'll be assigned play times for your chance to progress through the bracket. Whether you win or loose, there will be amply time to play for anyone wanting to keep the fun going throughout the day.

At noon, lunch will be served and you'll be free to fuel up for the afternoon.

At 3pm, the tournament will officially finish for the day at the semi-final round.

The afternoon and evening are yours to do as you like. Enjoy spending the afternoon exploring Charleston and eating dinner in Charleston with new friends!

At 10am, come join us for the final rounds of Mahjong. These final rounds will decide the premier Open Invitational Champion of 2027- and the winner takes home the prize!

After the final round, you'll enjoy lunch and the afternoon as you like. Want to head to the beach for some lazy time in a cute chair? The resort staff will get you all sorted. Want to head to the spa? All our wishes for the best time. Need to wander the boutiques nearby for some shopping? We may have to join you.

If you still haven't had your fill of playing, we'll have some casual "messy mahjong" play time available for anyone interested.

This evening, dress in your floweriest frock for our FLOWERS FAREWELL. One last evening together to enjoy this special inaugural Open Invitational group in one place.

After the party, official trip services conclude. (However, you'll of course still be staying the night at the hotel with us.)
