Howdy Wanks -
We are dangerously pleased to announce that for the first time ever, Ski H3 is going to France. We have found the perfect 80s throwback, 3.69-star hotel willing to host all you morons, which frankly feels like a win for everyone involved.
That’s right. In January 2028, this traveling circus of questionable decisions, heroic thirst, and wildly inconsistent ski ability will descend upon Les Deux Alpes for another glorious Euro Ski Week.
After the last trip - where we somehow survived sunshine, thermal baths, bomardinos, beers without end, and the usual combination of athletic overconfidence and poor judgment - it became clear that the only responsible thing to do was do it again. So this year, we’re taking the madness to France.
Because apparently some of you degenerates wanted January, and some of you wanted France, and for reasons still being investigated, democracy has spoken.
And honestly? The place looks perfect.
Les Deux Alpes brings:
225 km / 140 miles of pistes, with plenty of easy and intermediate terrain for the hangover crew, plus enough serious stuff so the ski snobs don't spend the whole week whining.
2,300 m / 7,546 ft of vertical, which is a lot of mountain for bad knees and worse decisions.
A glacier topping out at 3,600 m / 11,811 ft, because skiing at normal altitudes is apparently too sensible.
Two days at neighboring Alpe d’Huez, for anyone who sees 225 km of pistes and thinks, "Cute, but what else you got?"
A proper alpine village with great food, excellent wine, and exactly the kind of scenery that makes you briefly believe you have your life together.
One of the big reasons we picked Les Deux Alpes is that it’s relatively easy to get to - even for this group. We’re still finalizing the pre-lube city, which will be either Lyon or Geneva.
From there, we’ll organize a motor coach to and from the resort, so nobody has to navigate mountain logistics while half-fermented.
I have not sorted lodging or group hotel discounts yet for the pre-lube city, so put down your pitchforks. More details on that will follow once I get it lined up.
We are officially accepting applications for a questionable sponsor.
If your business, brand, bar, brewery, or badly supervised marketing budget wants in, this is your chance to support a week of alpine stupidity, heroic drinking, and just enough skiing to justify calling it a sports trip.
In return, you’ll receive:
Hash glory
Public shameless promotion
Dubious honor
A front-row seat to whatever terrible ideas this group comes up with in France
Know a sponsor foolish enough to say yes? Send them our way.

Trip and Travel Insurance
It is highly recommended you purchase supplemental travel/trip insurance.
Skiing is a high risk sport and having insurance that can medivac you out of Les Deux Alpes to a larger hospital in Lyon, Geneva, or Paris, even back to the USA if you are in stable enough condition. It is highly recommended as numerous hashers have made claims after ski week. Your US based insurance may or may not cover your care in the EU. The hospitals will make you guarantee payment prior to treatment so have all your international insurance card numbers with you and make sure you are covered before you are in the hospital and trying to figure out how to make an international call from the hospital.

Arriving in Lyon and departing from Geneva. These are running either $100 more or a $100 less depending on airlines and days you are flying.
If this is a complete pain in the ass for you you can always take the bus from Geneva to ski week or fly in and out of Paris and take the train to Lyon and grab the party bus and from Geneva take the train back to Paris.
The Lyon Hashers have agreed to put on a pub crawl on Thursday Jan 20th and a trail for us on Friday Jan 21st.
Start locations and hash hotel are TBD

The 3.69 star hotel just 300 meters from the lift, a short walk to the village center and there is a shuttle bus if you don't feel like walking.
The ski area offers wonderful on mountain huts for numerous dining experiences at affordable prices. This is not Vail, you can afford a beer and lunch without selling a kidney.
Bad Decisions is on the road again and bringing you Trivia Night in France. So grab a bottle of wine or a few beers and work that half mind of yours.
Bambi and Crash you bring you another chicken chase. Who is going to finally beat Fast n' Creamy?
Dust off the neon ski onesies, tease that hair, slap on your favorite blade sunglasses and start planning your transformation. Come as your favorite 80's rock star, icon, celebrity, or someone we can loosely justify because the costume is funny.
Orgy Cycle and Well Actually are back with another legendary on-mountain, hut-to-hut pub crawl.
Looking for a more relaxed day? Man Sauce and Tied Nuts will lead the scenic route, using gondolas and cruising the greens and blues as they make their way from Bombardino stop to beer stop.
Want a little more adventure? Orgy Cycle and Well Actually will lead the faster crew down the blues, reds, and maybe even a black or two—depending on snow conditions, liquid courage, and poor decision-making.
Bring cash—this is a pay-as-you-go adventure.
