About this trip

Join Ryan Leier for a 5-day yoga immersion in Reykjavik, Iceland. This supercharged island in the middle of the Atlantic is home to and a sweet light-filled studio with views of the mountains, an incredible community of yogis, and geothermal pools to discover between practices. 

If you’re looking for an opportunity to take your practice and teaching to the next level, this is it.  


You can expect a 25-hour training for dedicated yogis and yoga teachers who want to go deeper into their own asana, pranayama, meditation practice, and study philosophy with Ryan.

*Can be credited towards 25 hours of continuing education credits for yoga teachers. Certificate of completion offered upon request.

Ryan has deep family roots in Iceland - he’s been visiting and building community in this magical land for over 20 years. This is an incredible opportunity to go deep with Ryan into your practice, while also experiencing the Icelandic culture and the people he loves.



CAMPING Reykjavík Campsite is a five star campsite perfectly located approximately 15 min walk from the Yoga Shala 3 km from the city centre and right next to the Laugardalur thermal pool.

HOSTEL Reyjkavik City Hostel is a clean and friendly hostel located 15min walk from the Yoga Shala, 2 km from the city centre and next to the Laugardalur thermal pool.

HOTEL  ODDSSON Hotel We have a partnership with the new boutique hotel  located a 5 minute walk from the Yoga Shala, 12 minute bus ride to downtown. It has free parking,  complimentary breakfast, updated rooms, and plenty of options for room types.

Passionate and inspirational, Ryan Leier brings a creative energy to every class he teaches, whether in his own One Yoga studios or as an ambassador of yoga to communities around the world. With a distinct expression of ancient traditions that touches his students’ hearts, Ryan’s commitment to honouring his teachers leads him to be equally devoted to continuing his studies as to teaching. Ryan is primarily a student of the Krishamacharya yoga lineage having received teachings directly from the Master, Sri BKS Iyengar and the Ashtanga Guru, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. Registered as an E-RYT 500, RCYT, the highest designation with the Yoga Alliance, Ryan also trains with the extraordinary teachers Father Joe Pereira (Iyengar Yoga); Baron Baptiste; Dina T; Danny Paradise; Eddie Modestini and Nicki Doane (Maya Yoga); and Srivatsa Ramaswami (Vinyasa Krama). Ryan is rooted in local sacred teachings, and he regularly studies and serves the Elders in his home province of Saskatchewan.


Wonderful people, powerful yoga with my beloved teacher, some of the best days of my life.
I had a fantastic time! As always, I learned a huge amount from Ryan (and the other participants), I pushed myself to discover new boundaries and thoroughly loved every minute. Caitlin and Savannah were super helpful and accommodating. One thing I might suggest is a group dinner early on in the training to let everyone bond outside of the classroom/studio. The final night of the community gong bath and diner was when I felt we all came together as group, and it was the last time we were together. As a solo traveller and not being from the West Coast or part of a ONE Yoga Community, I felt a bit separated at times. But everyone, including the Icelanders were friendly and compassionate. I would not hesitate to sign up for another training with Ryan, regardless of the location!!!

I was able to participate in a weekend of yoga with Ryan Leier and had only been to a class of his before a few years previous at Wanderlust on Oahu. I appreciated the balance of pranayama with teachings, and asana. The time was powerful for me as I was challenged in ways in certain postures due to my previous injuries and fears but I was so appreciative that Ryan was 100% available to create a safe space (for not only me but my girlfriend who attended also) to move through our limitations into new spaces. I enjoyed it so much I hope to attend Ryan's training this summer in Saskatchewan when I am up in Canada this summer and if he returns to Maya yoga studio again I would of course happily return from Oahu and remind my friends to join me. Thanks Ryan for all that you do in sharing your yoga experience with those around you.
