Day 1

Samobor - Visoko (Bosnia & Hercegovina)

We commence our journey from Samobor, where enthusiasts of 2CV from around the world gather at a natural camping ground. Our first stop, Visoko. Here, we will learn about the enigmatic Bosnian Pyramids.

Visoko-Sarajevo -Foča canyon -Tara canyon -Budva

After exploring the mysteries of the Bosnian Pyramids in Visoko, we embark on a scenic drive through the Balkans. Our journey leads us through the historic streets of Sarajevo, immersing ourselves in its rich cultural heritage. Continuing onward, we pass through the serene landscapes of Foča, known for its beautiful canyons, before making our way to the coastal charm of Kotor. Here, a brief tour of the UNESCO-protected old town unfolds its 2000 years of history.


Later in the day, we proceed to Kotor.


*Kotor

A Mediterranean gem whose old town is protected by UNESCO, charming all visitors. The city’s history is over 2000 years old.

Budva - Cetinje - Skadarsko Lake (Virpazar) - Plantaže 13 Jul - Skadar

After breakfast, departure to Skadarsko Lake, visit Virpazar. After Virpazar, embark on a boat around 12:00 PM and enjoy a boat ride on Skadarsko Lake with a view of the Crnojević River, including lunch on the boat. Continue to Plantaže 13 Jul, a tour around 3:00 PM of one of the most beautiful and largest vineyards in Europe with wine tasting and a train ride. Continue to the city of Skadar. Check-in at GOLDEN PALACE Hotel 5* (free upgrade) in Skadar. Dinner and overnight.


*Skadarsko Lake The largest lake in the BALKAN PENINSULA, partly located in Montenegro and partly in Albania. The Montenegrin side of the lake was declared a national park in 1983. There are about 50 islands on the lake, some of which have old fortresses.


*Virpazar A small fishing village on the route between Podgorica and the Montenegrin coast.


*Plantaže 13 Jul The vineyard ĆEMOVSKO POLJE is a hallmark of Plantaže. One of the largest and most beautiful vineyards in Europe, covering an area of 2,300 hectares with about 10 million vines.

Skadar - Kruje - Tirana

After breakfast, visit the Skadar Fortress, optional visit to St. Stephen’s Cathedral. Continue the journey at 11:00 AM to the historic town of Kruja. Kruja was once one of the most important cities and the capital of the first Albanian state in the Middle Ages. Tour of the castle. Free time for lunch (own choice). Continue to Tirana, city tour around 3:00 PM with a local guide: SKENDERBERG SQUARE with a monument to Albania’s most famous hero, Skanderbeg – OPERA – CATHEDRAL OF THE RESURRECTION OF CHRIST, ALBANIAN ORTHODOX CATHEDRAL – NATIONAL HISTORY MUSEUM – PALACE OF CULTURE – ETHEM BEY MOSQUE – CLOCK TOWER – TIRANA CASTLE – NAMAZGJAH MOSQUE – MAIN CITY PROMENADE, MURAT TOPTANI STREET – REJA, A CLOUD SCULPTURE DESIGNED BY A JAPANESE ARCHITECT, ONE OF TIRANA’S MODERN WONDERS – CATHOLIC CATHEDRAL OF ST. PAUL – RINIA PARK – TIRANA PYRAMID BUILT BY ENVER HOXHA – ISH VILLA, FORMER RESIDENCE OF ENVER HOXHA – BUNKER POSTBLLOK – MAIN CITY AVENUE BULEVARDI DËSHMORËT E KOMBIT – ALBANIAN PARLIAMENT – PRESIDENTIAL PALACE – TIRANA UNIVERSITY – MOTHER TERESA SQUARE – NATIONAL STADIUM. Accommodation at TE STELA Hotel 4*, dinner and overnight.


*Skadar A significant cultural and economic center of Albania. More importantly, many consider it the true soul of Albania, with its narrow streets and ancient houses blending with stone walls and modern buildings.


*Kruje The Kruja Castle houses the historical museum and the ethnographic museum. Kruja Bazaar is one of the oldest in Albania with an original market over 400 years old.


*Tirana The capital of Albania. Once an exclusive residential area for communist elites, the BLLOKA area is now a modern district full of cafes, restaurants, boutiques, and vibrant nightlife.

Tirana - Berat - Ohrid

Morning departure to Berat, a city known as the “city of a thousand windows,” tour and optional lunch break. Continue the journey to Ohrid. Accommodation at DRIM Hotel 4*, dinner and overnight.


*Berat Thanks to its rich architecture, the city was declared an Albanian city-museum in 1961, and in 2008 it was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is among the warmest cities in Albania but has an even more flattering title – it is often called the most beautiful city in Albania.

Ohrid

Breakfast and morning guided city tour. The rest of the day is free for rest, personal exploration (optional visits: St. Naum, Biljana’s Springs, pearl workshop) and lunch (own choice). In the afternoon around 5:00 PM, visit the Monastery Winery (Summer Sensations: 4 white and rose wines, 2 brandies, cheese platter, water, 2 hours), wine tasting and return to the hotel for dinner.


*Ohrid Lake Ohrid was formed before the Ice Age. It is home to about 200 endemic species, some of which are over 30 million years old. The lake and the city of Ohrid were included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1980.


*Monastery Winery The Monastery Winery is located in the village of Openica, just 10 km from Ohrid. Situated below the monastery of St. Kuzman and Damjan, surrounded by fresh air, beautiful forests, and a flowing river. This is a place where everyone can enjoy peace, nature, and of course, delicious wines.

Ohrid - Bitolj - Skoplje

Breakfast at 9:00 AM. Drive to Bitolj, visit the archaeological site of Heraclea. Free time and lunch in Prilep. Continue the journey to Skopje, city tour around 4:00 PM and check-in at IBIS CITY CENTER Hotel 4* or similar. Dinner and overnight.


*Bitolj An ancient city located near Bitola. The fascinating ruins of this once-thriving metropolis bring history to life amidst beautiful landscapes and archaeological treasures.


*Skopje Skopje, the capital of Macedonia, is a city with a rich and turbulent history, where old and new, traditional and modern, meet.

Skopje to vrnjačka Banja

Breakfast. Drive to Vrnjačka Banja. City tour and free time for lunch (own choice). Vrnjačka Banja has the largest spas in Serbia, with free time for relaxation in the spas of your choice or a walk around the town. Accommodation at VILLA EMILIA 4*, dinner and overnight.


*Vrnjačka Banja Located in central Serbia between the Goč Mountain and the West Morava River. It is known for its sources of healing mineral water. These natural resources make tourism the main economic activity in Vrnjačka Banja during the summer.

Vrnjačka Banja to Zagreb

Breakfast and hotel check-out. Departure towards Zagreb, arriving in the evening.
