About this trip

Date: Thursday, October 8

Time: 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM

Class Size: 6 to 12 participants

Workshop Overview

Create a whimsical wool painting in this new 2D Needle Felted Gnome Class! Ideal for beginners or anyone who has felted before, this session features a brand-new kit that will be fully ready by October.

Participants will craft a beautiful, textured winter scene featuring a charming gnome nestled between evergreen trees (see attached preview photo). All materials are provided, and you will be guided through every step of the project. Throughout the evening, you'll learn basic and useful techniques for working with felting needles and wool fibers, and see examples of ways to mount your finished artwork.

Dinner & Timing

Class starts at 6:00 PM and concludes at 8:30 PM. Come early if you would like to grab a deliciously prepared meal in our dining room prior to class!

⚠️ Please Note: Food is not included in the cost of class registration.

Standalone Booking & Weekend Retreat Options

This is an individual class listing and can be booked completely on its own as a standalone workshop.

However, if you want to turn your workshop into a full creative weekend getaway, this class makes the perfect warm-up! You can choose to add this onto the full Felting Encore Retreat with Jean Hainlen, which kicks off the very next day (October 9–11) right here at the historic Nome Schoolhouse. The full all-inclusive retreat features specialized "Creation Stations," 3D elements, wet-felting, scratch-made meals, and lodging.

Feel free to register for just this individual gnome workshop, or check out the full weekend retreat experience starting Friday!
