• Join our experienced local birding guide for a private 3-day Golden Eagle Photography Tour. We will drive out of Saskatoon to southwestern Saskatchewan where Golden Eagles spend the winter. We will stop for as long as you wish for any eagle as long as it is safe to stop.

• If you wish, some of the days can focus on photographing songbirds in Cypress Hills.

• Both novice and experienced bird photographers or birders are welcome.

• Novice photographers may optionally request the assistance of a professional wildlife photographer to help you choose the best camera settings during the tour.

• Other possible birds to be seen during tours may include Prairie Falcon, Gyrfalcon, Sharp-tailed Grouse, Gray Partridge, Snow Buntings, Redpolls, Gray-crowned Rosy Finch, Townsend's Solitaire, Common Raven, Bohemian Waxwing, Black-billed Magpie, Short-eared Owl.

What to Bring

• Participants should bring a digital camera with both long and short focal lengths.

• Participants should bring a laptop computer equipped with their favourite photographic editing software.

• You need to plan to drive your own personal or rented vehicle to and from locations where we will be photographing and viewing owls. Winter snow tires recommended.

• Bring a good winter parka, long windproof pants, long underwear, winter hat and gloves.

Transportation

Participants must drive their own personal or rented vehicle on this guided tour. If requested, tour leader may be willing to drive your vehicle during tour. Transportation costs are not included in tour fee.

Accommodation

Following your registration, you will receive an email with the information needed to book your accommodation during this tour. Accommodation costs are not included in tour fee.
