This 3-day budget gorilla trek safari takes you to the misty Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, which is home to more than half the population of the remaining 880 Mountain Gorillas. The forest offers a unique birding opportunity, cultural experiences, a scenic allure of stunning hills and lush vegetation inhabited by the elusive primates. The gorilla trek activity is the most enchanting experience in this forest.
Day 1. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
After your Breakfast at 7.00Am, Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park where you will track Mountain Gorillas. You will drive through savanna grasslands seeing banana plantations and herds of Ankole cattle, famous for their incredibly long horns. You then ascend into the Kigezi highlands, known as the "Switzerland of Africa", with terraced farming and mountain scenery and continue your drive on to Bwindi. You will arrive late in the afternoon, check in at the your lodge for a well-earned evening meal and a good night’s rest.

Day 2. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Wake up at 6.00 Am take your Breakfast and depart with a picnic lunch to track the rare Mountain Gorillas (hiking boots required). The tracking may take between 3 and 6 hours in and out of the forest. Tracking through dense forest with steep slopes means that participants do need to be physically fit to enjoy the track. The Park Guides with you interpret the flora and fauna and the lifestyle of the Gorillas. At the end of your time with the gorillas you will return at your accommodation for some refreshments and Driver to Kisoro. Take Dinner and overnight.

Day 3. Drive back to Kampala.
After a restful night Visit a Pygmie Village and Transfer back to Kampala with lunch en-route. Then proceed to Entebbe Airport where you will catch your flight back home.
Optional Trip Extension. You may opt to go on to D.R Congo or Rwanda to track the other well-known gorilla families while you are in the region.

What to Bring:
You must bring appropriate walking or hiking shoes as trainers are not suitable for the forest terrain. Waterproof clothing, preferably dark in colour as bright colours will attract insects, is necessary since the forest is at high altitude so there is a good chance of rain. Remember to bring high-factor sunscreen and a hat too, most of all don't forget your yellow fever vaccination card.
