Day 1: Fes to the Desert

Ifrane, Monkeys and Merzouga Dunes

We leave Fez and head toward the Middle Atlas where the landscapes change fast. Our first stop is Ifrane, the Switzerland of Morocco with pine trees and fancy rooftops. Then we visit the cedar forests of Michlifen and meet the wild macaque monkeys, just hold onto your snacks. The journey continues through the palm filled Ziz Valley with plenty of photo stops. By late afternoon we reach Merzouga for a camel ride, sandboarding and a peaceful night in the Sahara desert camp.

Day 2: Desert to Valleys

Sunrise, Todra Gorge and Rose Valley

Wake up early for a sunrise that looks like a painting. After breakfast we drive toward Tinghir where the famous Todra Gorge stands tall with giant cliffs and epic views. You can walk inside the canyon and take amazing photos. We continue through the Rose Valley where locals make oils and beauty products from real roses grown in the area. You spend the night in a hotel in Rose Valley or Ouarzazate depending on the season and availability.

Ait Ben Haddou and High Atlas Mountains

The last day begins with a visit to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO clay village and a famous filming location for movies and shows like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After exploring the kasbah we cross the High Atlas Mountains through the beautiful Tizi n Tichka Pass with panoramic views. In the afternoon we arrive in Marrakech where you will be dropped off at your hotel or the nearest accessible point.
