Antananarivo | Ampefy Village

08:00 AM – Departure from Antananarivo
Begin your journey with a scenic drive of approximately three hours to Ampefy, a tranquil town renowned for its volcanic landscapes and beautiful lakes. Along the way, enjoy views of rolling hills, rural villages, and expansive farmlands that showcase Madagascar’s countryside.

11:00 AM – Analavory Geysers
Upon arrival, visit the famous Analavory cold geysers. Witness these natural springs as they spout water into the air and take time to explore the peaceful surroundings. After the visit, return to Ampefy for lunch at a local restaurant, where you can savor traditional Malagasy dishes such as Romazava or Ravitoto.

02:30 PM – Lily Waterfall
After lunch, continue to the stunning Lily Waterfall, one of Ampefy’s most popular attractions. Enjoy a short hike to the falls, relax in the fresh air, and capture memorable photos of the cascading water.

04:00 PM – Lake Itasy
Spend the afternoon exploring Lake Itasy, Madagascar’s third-largest lake. Take a leisurely walk along the shoreline or enjoy an optional boat ride while admiring the serene volcanic scenery.

08:00 AM – Breakfast & Departure to Ilot de la Vierge
Start the day with breakfast before heading to Ilot de la Vierge. This hilltop chapel offers breathtaking panoramic views over Ampefy, Lake Itasy, and the surrounding volcanic landscapes. Enjoy a short hike to the viewpoint and take in the stunning scenery.

10:30 AM – Antafofo Waterfall
Continue with a drive to Antafofo Waterfall. A short walk leads to scenic viewpoints overlooking the valley, where you can admire impressive volcanic rock formations and the natural beauty of the area.

01:00 PM – Lunch in Ampefy
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Ampefy or opt for a picnic near the waterfall, surrounded by nature.

01:30 PM – Return to Antananarivo
Depart Ampefy and travel back to Antananarivo, passing through scenic countryside, rice fields, and charming rural villages along the route.

03:30 PM – Lemurs Park Visit
Stop at Lemurs Park, a protected reserve where you can observe several species of lemurs in a natural setting, accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide.

09:00 AM – Arrival in Mantasoa Village
Upon arrival, explore the historic village of Mantasoa and learn about Jean Laborde, the French industrialist who established Madagascar’s first industrial center in this region.

10:00 AM – Boat Excursion to Nosy Soa Park
Take a relaxing boat ride across Lake Mantasoa to Nosy Soa Park, a peaceful reserve known for its rich biodiversity.

10:30 AM – Guided Visit at Nosy Soa Park
Enjoy a guided tour of the park, where you can observe various species of lemurs and reptiles in their natural environment.
