Karakol → Karakol Gorge → Alpine Camp

Depart from Karakol and drive into Karakol Gorge (~1.5 hours). Begin trekking toward the foot of Karakol Peak through forests and alpine meadows. After lunch on the trail, return to the campsite for a relaxed evening and briefing.

Day 2

Alpine Camp → Ala-Kul Lake

After breakfast, begin a steady ascent from 2,500 m toward Ala-Kul Lake. Rest at a small mountain hut before continuing the climb. Upon reaching the turquoise lake at 3,550 m, explore the area and set up camp. Depending on conditions, optional boating/kayaking may be possible.

Ascend toward Ala-Kul Pass (3,906 m) for spectacular views of the Terskey Ala-Too peaks. A steep descent leads into Altyn-Arashan Valley (2,500 m), where you can enjoy its famous hot springs. A vehicle transfer returns you to Karakol.
