 In the morning, enjoy a hearty breakfast and pick up your packed lunch before heading to the Kanyanchu Tracking Centre. Be sure to arrive by 6:50 am to meet the trekkers.

Arriving on time allows you to receive important information from the wildlife ranger guides, who will lead you into the forest in search of chimpanzees. The rangers are skilled at finding chimp communities by following clues left behind. Additionally, the habituated chimpanzees can recognize the familiar faces of the guides, which reassures them.

Unlike regular chimp tracking, the Chimpanzee Habituation Experience allows visitors to spend 4 hours exclusively following these remarkable creatures. This experience is more demanding, as visitors are involved in all aspects of the habituation process, unlike the typical 1-hour experiential trek where visitors remain distant.

To make the most of this experience, you'll need to wake before dawn to meet the guides and track the chimpanzees before they leave their nests. This allows you to observe them as they wake up and begin their daily activities, such as feeding, resting, caring for their young, protecting their territories, and eventually building their nests in the trees.

Lunch is provided since the experience lasts almost the entire day. By the end of the day, you’ll become familiar with the individual chimpanzees, including their body markings and personalities. The exercise concludes when the chimps retreat to their nests for the night.

In the morning, embark on a nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Swamp with the local community. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to spot rare primates such as Red Colobus Monkeys, Black and White Colobus Monkeys, Red-Tailed Monkeys, Vervet Monkeys, Olive Baboons, and many others, along with a variety of bird species.

Afterward, we'll drive to Fort Portal town for lunch before heading back to Kampala or Entebbe, taking with us unforgettable memories.
