Begin your journey with an early morning transfer to Nairobi Terminus Railway Station. Board the Madaraka Express train to Voi. Upon arrival, you will be met by your professional safari guide and transferred for lunch in Voi town.
After lunch, proceed to the Kasigau Community, located between Tsavo East and Tsavo West, an area rich in culture, history, and natural beauty at the foot of Kasigau Hill.
Upon arrival, begin your community interaction experience:
· Welcome by local hosts
· Traditional dances and cultural performances
· Visit to local basket weavers and artisans
· Participate in a symbolic tree planting activity contributing to conservation efforts
In the evening, head out for a scenic sundowner experience, enjoying the vast landscapes and sunset views with light snacks.
Return to the bandas for dinner followed by a relaxed evening.
Dinner and overnight at Kasigau Bandas – FB
After breakfast, immerse yourself in the natural and ecological richness of Kasigau.
The day includes:
· Guided nature walks and eco-learning experiences around the Kasigau ecosystem
· Exploration of indigenous plants, trees and their traditional uses
· Interaction with community conservation initiatives
Lunch at the bandas.
In the afternoon, visit the Kasigau historical site, where you will learn about the First World War (WWI) events in the region, particularly the encounters between British and German forces and how these events shaped the local community and its history.
Return in the evening for relaxation.
Dinner and overnight at Kasigau Bandas – FB
Early breakfast at the bandas. Depart Kasigau and transfer back to Voi.
Board the Madaraka Express train back to Nairobi.
Upon arrival in Nairobi, transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward travel arrangements.
