About this trip
Imagine yourself furthering your yoga training in the jungles and on the beaches of the Dominican Republic. Experience our world-class yoga methodology reboot in an unparralled setting, with fire and cacao ceremonies, zip-lining, hiking to waterfalls and MUCH, much more.
This program includes our full training, with hands on assisting, Warrior Goddess training, meditation, asana, philosophy, alignment, anatomy, leadership development and much more. Additionally, we will be training several local villagers and working on a project to leave behind a lasting legacy and impact in the local community.
As a 200 Hour and 300 Hour Yoga Alliance approved school, DDY offers world class training in a supportive learning environment. Practice. Lead. Teach. will give you the tools, confidence and skill to teach an effective and inspiring power vinyasa yoga class in the tradition of Baron Baptiste.

- Lodging for 14 nightsChoose single, double or quadruple occupancy for 14 nights at the magical Dominican Tree House Village in the jungles of the DR!
- MealsAll meals included. Dinner on welcome day, breakfast lunch and dinner throughout program, and breakfast on departure date. Dietary needs welcome.

- Excursions on days offChoose to book an excursion early at the discounted price of $100, tips not included. 20% is a good rate for tipping your guides.

Another stellar trip with DDY Travels! Shelly is always tracking down the ultimate in local & cool. We loved being "off the beating path" at this fabulous Villa outside Aquapendente. The owners' passion for their property and the Italian way of life was intoxicating. As per usual, the mix of people on the retreat was wonderful. Everything was easy and taken care of as far as transport, planning of excursions and meals. If you want a trip to just kick back and let the wonderful come your way...DDY Retreats is for you!

MAGICAL! BEAUTIFUL!! A CULINARY DELIGHT!!! Everything was so well planned and executed, Il Tesoro was beyond gorgeous, the food and the wine were top tier! Visiting small towns and shopping was such a wonderful experience!! I can’t wait to go again!!

I had an amazing time on this trip. This was my first DDY trip. I came on the trip as a solo traveler, so I only knew Shelley. By the end of the trip, I made numerous friends and also connected with people in the same home city as me. You make forever connections on this trip. Amazing itinerary, excellent accommodations, phenomenal food, and awesome excursions. I can go on and on. Shelley did an amazing job and I know that she put a lot of effort and research into this trip. I would definitely recommend it and am looking forward to going on another DDY trip.

My experience was incredible! The Dominican Jungle Treehouse was breathtaking and I plan to return in the future. The entire Yoga Retreat was beautiful with delicious wholesome food, a wonderful, friendly and attentive staff, inlcuding the manager Alex who was on top of every detail. It's a gorgeous, clean place like no other. Shelley Carrol models excellence in business and Dancing Dogs Yoga overdelivers!

Another epic retreat in the books!! Such an awesome way to kick off my 50th birthday celebration! The food was delicious, the yacht was gorgeous, and the crew was fantastic! The swim stops were phenomenal and I’m so glad we had the chance to see the blue grotto! That heat wave did not stop me from having a great experience!

I was fortunate enough to complete my YTT at the Dominican Tree House Village in El Valle, Samana. I am so thankful for Shelley and being able to share my yoga story. Shelley is a woman of many virtues but my favorite is her being able to hold space for diverse populations in yoga (BIPOC/LGBTQIA+). I was supported during my learning journey, and encouraged throughout my training to continue to create space for other individuals like myself. Our training was well organized, detail oriented, knowledgeable, and a healthy balance between learning, resting, and adventure! I was paired with the best roommate and suite mates ever! I am terrified of being in the jungle but knowing I was there with three other women, made it so worth while. Finally, Emma made the most amazing Dominican cuisine for us daily and the Tree House Staff were so hospitable. I would absolutely go on another training/retreat with Shelley and the crew!

What an amazing trip! This was my second DDY retreat and I will be back for more! The resort was beautiful, with a yoga Shala that looked out over the ocean and has a jungle backdrop! And on top of that, the food was amazing! The variety of both included and optional activities where amazing, in addition to the twice daily yoga. My personal favs were the sound healing, and the Mayan clay ceremony. The fellow retreaters where also amazing and really made it a trip to remember! Can’t wait for the next retreat!
