How do I choose my dates?
This trip has no fixed departures. Tell us your preferred start date when you book, and we'll confirm your hotels and send your full trip documents and route app details before you travel.
How does payment work?
A $500 non-refundable deposit per person secures your booking. The remaining balance is charged automatically through WeTravel 30 days before your chosen start date (if you book within 30 days of your start date, the full price is due at booking).
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellation terms are set out in our Participant Agreement, which all guests accept at checkout.
Is travel insurance required?
Yes. Because hotels and luggage transfers are prepaid, all pilgrims must carry comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, interruption, delay, lost luggage, and medical emergencies. After booking, you'll be asked to share your insurance provider and policy number, due 30 days before your start date. Recommended providers: World Nomads, Allianz Global Assistance, Travel Guard (AIG).
Is there a luggage limit?
Yes. Daily luggage transfers cover one bag per person, up to 20 kg (44 lbs). Extra or overweight bags may incur additional fees from the transfer provider. Each day you carry only a small daypack with water, snacks, and layers.
How does the single supplement work?
The package price is per person, based on two people sharing a room. Solo travelers who want a private room every night can add the Private Room Supplement for $1,050, or simply choose the Solo Traveler package ($2,649).
How do I get to Sarria?
The nearest airport is Santiago de Compostela (SCQ), about 1.5 hours from Sarria by car. Our Private Arrival Transfer ($325 per car for 1-3 people, about $108 each when 3 share) takes you door to door from SCQ to your Sarria hotel. For your last morning, a Private Departure Transfer from your Santiago hotel to SCQ is $109 per car (about $36 each when 3 share). You can also reach Sarria by train or bus via Lugo or Ourense.
How do I earn my Compostela?
Walk at least the final 100 km and collect at least two stamps per day in your pilgrim credential. We provide the credential, and you'll receive your Compostela at the Pilgrim's Office in Santiago.
How fit do I need to be?
Daily stages range from about 20 to 30 km over rolling terrain. Anyone in good health who walks regularly can complete the route. We recommend training walks of 10-15 km in the months before your trip.
What if I need help on the trail?
Our 24/7 local support desk is a call or message away, and your route app works with offline maps, so you can stay on route without a signal.
How is my information used?
Only to book and run your trip. We never sell your information. Questions? Email info@caminoconnav.com.
