The Adodi National Summer Retreat is an annual event hosted by Adodi National, an intergenerational organization that focuses on the well-being of Black same-gender-loving men. The retreat provides a space for these men to connect, celebrate their identities, and uplift each other emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

This year, we're excited to offer a unique experience, with our host city being the legendary Memphis, while our retreat sessions will take place at the scenic 4-H Center in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Memphis, the birthplace of rock 'n' roll and home of the blues, is a city brimming with history, culture, and incredible music. From the iconic Graceland, the home of Elvis Presley, to the soulful sounds of Beale Street, Memphis offers a rich tapestry of experiences. Explore the National Civil Rights Museum, delve into the city's musical heritage at the Stax Museum of American Soul Music, or simply soak in the atmosphere along the Mississippi River. Memphis is a city that will captivate your senses and leave you inspired.

While the energy of Memphis will be our home base, our retreat sessions will be held at the beautiful 4-H Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. Nestled amidst nature's tranquility, the 4-H Center provides the perfect setting for reflection, collaboration, and rejuvenation. This peaceful environment will allow us to connect with each other and engage in meaningful discussions away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Important Travel Information: Transportation to and from the 4-H Center in Little Rock will originate from a designated hotel in Memphis, Tennessee (hotel details to be announced soon). This means you'll have the opportunity to enjoy the vibrant city of Memphis before and after our sessions at the retreat center. More details about the hotel, shuttle schedules, and transportation logistics will be provided in subsequent communications.

We have selected two host hotels - one hotel for overnight stays before heading to the 4-H Center (retreat site) and one hotel for overnight stays after the retreat. The DoubleTree by Hilton East Memphis is the site for the overnight stays before the retreat (the site from which the bus will depart to the retreat center) and Hotel Indigo Memphis Downtown is the site for the overnight stays after the retreat.
