The Girlfriend Getaway: Sistahs at the Well kicks off on Saturday, October 14, 2023, and includes five days and four nights at the luxurious Bahia Principe Luxury Runaway Bay on the island of Runaway Bay, Jamaica. The week will offer life-changing health and wellness sessions facilitated by our dream team of nutritionists, fitness and wellness experts, dedicated physician and psychologist, and a host of speakers.

Daily yoga and training sessions and opportunities to explore the culture of the island will balance out the week, and an All-White Party with a special guest DJ will add a night of flair and festivity. The retreat will close on Wednesday, October 18th, 2023.

Q: Are excursions included?

A:  Bahia Principe Luxury Runaway Bay -arranged excursions are not included in the Retreat price. 

Q: What if I'm coming alone and I don't have a roommate?

A:  We will assign you a roommate if you are booking a double-occupancy room.

Q: Are flight costs included?

A: Flight costs are not included in the cost of the Retreat. Here are some guidelines for flights:

Saturday, October 14 : You may arrive as early as you'd like but may not be able to check in until 4 p.m.

Wednesday, October 18: The program will conclude by 11AM so we recommend flights beginning at 1:30PM from Montego Bay Airport.  

Q: What do I need to travel to Montego Bay? 

A: A valid U.S. passport.

COVID-19: A COVID-19 test is waived for fully vaccinated individuals.  These requirements are subject to change, so please refer to this travel and information health site for the government of Jamaica: https://jm.usembassy.gov/covid-19-information-jamaica/

Q: How early should I book the package?

A: It is recommended that you book as early as possible, as space is limited at this event. In addition, booking earlier will enable you to take advantage of a longer payment schedule if you opt for a payment plan.

Q: Is there transportation to and from the resort?

A:  Yes, there will be transportation from Montego Bay Airport after arrival on Saturday, October 14, and to Montego Bay Airport on the date of your departure from Runaway Bay.

Q: Are the costs of the Retreat refundable?

A: You may cancel at any time, but please note our cancellation policy:

Due to the nature of time-based and capacity commitments with the resort, ALL payments will be considered non-refundable, which includes the full and installment payments. Of course, the exception to this policy is if the Retreat is canceled.

If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to another person. 

We understand that unexpected occurrences happen. Due to the possibility of any extenuating circumstances, we strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance to cover both your airfare and the Retreat cost.

Q: Do you recommend travel insurance?

A: Yes, we highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance.  Unforeseen circumstances (death in the family, illness, etc.) can happen to anyone. Being unprepared will cause you to miss the Retreat, as well as lose your investment.  

It is highly recommended that you purchase travel insurance from a reputable national insurer. Travel insurance offered by an airline does not apply to an entire trip, but simply covers airfare. Many travel insurance firms are available (Allianz, etc), so secure your trip after purchase by buying travel insurance, as our refund/cancellation policy will be enforced, no matter the circumstance.  You can use the tools found on the following website and choose the best insurance for your needs:  TravelInsurance.com.

Q: What can I expect at this Retreat?

A: The goal of the retreat is to provide five days of health and wellness workshops, expert speakers, practitioners, sisterly comradery, and goal planning that will lead to better emotional, psychological, and physical health.

Q: When will I receive a Retreat schedule?

A: A preliminary Retreat schedule/agenda will be provided by August 2023.

Q: How often will I receive communications about the Retreat?

A: We will communicate regular updates on newly added speakers, new offerings, and any other updates related to the Retreat. After you register, be sure to go to The Girlfriend Getaway private Facebook Group for all of the latest details and to make new friends even before the Retreat begins.

Q: What type of food will be offered at this Retreat?

A: There is all-inclusive pricing for meals, and we will offer restaurant menu recommendations, focusing on healthy options.

Q: Is alcohol included in the cost of the package?

Yes, alcohol is included in the all-inclusive pricing. We will also have alcohol at our Welcome event and the All White Party. 

Q: What should I bring?

A: A suggested list of items to pack include:

·    Yoga pants, sports bras, shorts, and t-shirts

·    Bathing suit(s) for pool or beach

·    Bathing suit cover-up

·    Resort formal wear for dinner/dancing

REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS You may cancel at any time, but please note our cancellation policy:

WHY CAN’T I GET A REFUND? Due to time and space commitments with the resorts, refunds are not available. Please purchase travel insurance to accommodate any unexpected travel changes. 

If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to another person. 

REFUND REQUEST(S) DIRECTED FROM YOUR BANKING INSTITUTION All chargeback notifications received via your bank will be considered a cancellation of your registration at the Retreat.  We will send all documentation, including confirmation of receipt of all travel policies.  Agreement signatures will be provided to the banking institution as confirmation of payment application according to all agreed-upon terms. 

DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT Buyer/Attendee agrees to individually, jointly, and severally indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sistahs At the Well/The Girlfriend Getaway: Sistahs at the Well and all agents, affiliated and corresponding parties, from and against all liability, loss, damage, or expense, including attorney’s fees which may be incurred or sustained as a result of purchase; during the Retreat,  or hereafter, in perpetuity. 

TRAVEL INSURANCE Unforeseen circumstances can happen to anyone, and if you aren’t prepared, will cause you to miss the Retreat, as well as lose your investment.  It is highly recommended that you purchase travel insurance.

PAYMENT PLAN You can send as many payments as you like.

The full balance MUST be paid by 9.1.2023.

DELINQUENT PAYMENT PLAN PAYMENTS Any payment plan payments more than 10 days late will be subject to a $100 late payment fee. If your payment(s) is more than 30 days late, then your reservation may be canceled and subject to the cancellation policy above.

PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEOGRAPHY RELEASE With my attendance, I hereby grant permission to At the Well Conferences, Inc./The Girlfriend Getaway: Sistahs at the Well to use photographs and/or video of me taken from October 14 – 18, 2023 at the Retreat in publications, news releases, online, and in other communications related to the mission of Sistahs at the Well, and The Girlfriend Getaway: Sistahs at the Well.
