About your trip

Experience the ultimate adventure amidst the breathtaking beauty of the Pacific Northwest with our Enchantments Thru-Hike & Cabin Women's Retreat! Nestled near the charming town of Leavenworth, Washington, our meticulously curated trip promises an unforgettable blend of rugged exploration and cozy comforts.

Prepare to embark on an epic adventure as we tackle the Enchantments Thru-Hike in a single daya feat reserved for the most intrepid of adventurers. This challenging trek is not for the faint of heart; there is a reason it is classified as "extremely strenuous"

With rugged terrain, steep ascents, and a distance of approximately 19 miles, this journey demands physical endurance, mental fortitude, and a passion for pushing boundaries. With an ascent of approximately 5,500 feet and descent of 7,000 feet, expect to test your physical endurance and mental resilience over the span of 12-14 hours.

We'll recover the next day tubing along the Wenatchee River and visiting the Bavarian-inspired town of Leavenworth for wine tasting and a group dinner.

Minimum Requirements

While our Enchantments Thru-Hike is an exhilarating adventure suited for those with a moderate to advanced level of hiking experience, we welcome participants of all skill levels who are eager to explore the beauty of the Cascade Mountains. However, it's important to note that this excursion does require a reasonable level of physical fitness and mobility due to the challenging terrain and long distances involved.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants, we require that individuals meet the following minimal hiking requirements:

  1. Basic Fitness Level: Participants should have a basic level of fitness and be comfortable walking for extended periods of time on uneven terrain. While the pace of the hike will be moderate, it's essential to be prepared for sustained physical activity throughout the day.
  2. Stamina: The Enchantments Thru-Hike covers approximately 19 miles of rugged terrain, including steep ascents and descents. Participants should have the stamina to sustain their energy levels throughout the duration of the hike, which can take anywhere from 12 to 14 hours to complete. Our plan is to hike an average of 2 miles/hour.
  3. Footwear: Proper hiking footwear, such as sturdy hiking boots with ankle support and good traction, is essential for navigating rocky trails and uneven terrain safely. Participants should also bring comfortable moisture-wicking socks to help prevent blisters and discomfort.
  4. Hydration and Nutrition: It's important to stay hydrated and well-nourished during the hike, especially given the physical exertion involved.
  5. Mental Preparedness: While the Enchantments Thru Hike offers stunning scenery and unforgettable experiences, it's also a challenging endeavor that requires mental fortitude and determination. Participants should be prepared to face obstacles and push through moments of fatigue with a positive mindset and a willingness to persevere.

While these are minimal requirements for participation, we encourage individuals to assess their own fitness levels and comfort with outdoor activities before committing to the trip. If you have any concerns or questions about whether the Enchantments Thru Hike is right for you, please don't hesitate to reach out to our team for guidance and assistance. We're here to help you make the most of your adventure in the Pacific Northwest!
