Day 1: Discover Merzouga’s Sand Dunes

Commence your Merzouga expedition from the hotel getting on a full-day hike through the captivating sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a quaint oasis, surrounded by the tranquil beauty of the desert landscape. Spend the night in a camp nestled behind the sand dunes, relishing a dinner under the starlit sky. 

Day 2: Riverbed and Dune Adventure

Following breakfast at your camp, initiate the day with a scenic hike along a dry riverbed, offering panoramic vistas of the surrounding dunes. Indulge in a picnic lunch at a picturesque spot, followed by the continuation of your trek towards Znigui sand dune. Spend the night in a different camp, enjoying dinner and breakfast amidst the desert’s enchanting ambience. 

Day 3: Sunset Views from the Mountains

Take a day to rest and explore the nearby mountains, immersing yourself in breathtaking views of the desert landscape. Enjoy lunch at the camp, with the option of a cooking class to prepare your own meal. As the sun begins its descent, ascend to a vantage point for a mesmerizing sunset. Spend the night in the same camp, indulging in dinner and breakfast while marveling at the clear desert sky, perfect for stargazing. 

Day 4: Erg Znigui and Return to Merzouga

After the breakfast at the camp in Erg Znigui, start on the final leg of your trek back to Merzouga. Make a stop at Khamliya Village to savor their distinctive music and dance styles, and enjoy a Berber specialty called “Medfouna” for lunch. Conclude your adventurous 4-day Merzouga hike in Merzouga Village.
