Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades
Pickup: from your hotel/riad

After meeting you at your hotel/Riad in Marrakech after breakfast we will go towards the High Atlas through the Tizi-n-Tichka pass, along a road that climbs from the plains up to 2260 m above sea level passing through small villages, small waterfalls, through the continuously changing landscape and colors of these beautiful mountains.We can make a stop on the pass for a cup of refreshing mint tea and admire the scenery before taking Ait Benhaddou Kasbah day trip from Marrakech, where we will arrive in time for lunch. Here we can visit the famous Kasbah, declared UNESCO World Heritage and which was the scene of films like The Gladiator, Babel, Lawrence of Arabia, The Legionary, The Sheltering Sky, and many others. will visit the town of Ouarzazate, the Kasbah of Taourirt and the Atlas Studios movie studios, the largest and most famous of all Africa. Then we will go through Ouarzazate, the famous Valley of Roses and the Dades valley, reaching the Todra Gorge in time for sunset where we will stop in a very traditional and romantic hotel for dinner and overnight.

Dades Gorge – Todra Gorge – Merzouga
After breakfast, there is time for a walk by Dades River to discover the area.
Transfer from Dades Gorge to Merzouga via Tinerhir town, continuing to Todra
Gorge (the highest oasis valley gorge in Morocco). Lunch will be here and
depart to the town of Rissani if you want to taste the Berber Pizza (El Madfouna).
In the afternoon, you will head off in a 4-wheel drive vehicle across the barren
land to the majestic Sahara sand dunes. Afterward, the camel man will take you
for a camel ride into the dunes, to enjoy the most charming sight of the sunset,
you couldn’t fail to appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi
sand dunes - changing with the light. Check-in to your camp, relax and have hot
shower and have your dinner under the stars. (Night full of stars, Berber music
and good food)

Erg Chabbi – Desert excursion - Berber village of Khamlia
Early in the morning, you will wake up to watch what well may be the best sunrise of your life. After breakfast, you will start your desert excursion of the Erg by the 4*4 car to explore some nearby caves where natural fossils can be found.
-On the way to the ancient villages, you will have the chance to stop by and visit some Kasbahs such as Kasbah Abo Aam, Kasbah Sijlmassa and Kasbah Oulad Abdelhalim.
-Then you will take the road, which passes along the route of the famous Paris – Dakar rally.
-Then you will pass through the Black Desert with its volcanic stones where you will get in touch with a Berber family.
-Visit and meet local nomad families in their traditional Berber tents in the desert.
-Then you will go to the village of Khamlia, famous for its inhabitants originating from sub-Saharan countries such as Sudan, Mali and Niger, were forcibly moved from theirhomelands across the Sahara to Morocco as part of the worldwide slave trade. This village is also famous for the festival of music of Gnaoua music. From the village of Khamlia you will go back to your camp, relax and have hot shower and have your dinner.

Merzouga – Draa Valley – Marrakech (Full Day drive)
Rise early to greet you new day, beautiful sun rise over the sand dunes. After breakfast and a nice shower, the drive back east to the Dra’a Valley takes us along the length of the Saghro Mountains via the villages of Tazzarine (featured in the film ‘Babel’ and N’Qob, where we have lunch overlooking the mountains. In the afternoon we drive to Tanasikht, where we reach the Dra’a valley, full of large palm trees and ancient kasbahs. Here we go along the track of the ancient caravan route to Agdez. and the oldest kabsah in the valley, Kasbah Tamnougalte. Back on the paved road again, we return to Marrakesh again over the High Atlas by the end of the afternoon.
