Early morning departure from Quito or the lodge, driving along the Avenue of the Volcanoes to the Ilinizas Ecological Reserve. From La Virgen parking area, we begin the ascent of Iliniza Norte, a non-glaciated peak ideal for acclimatization and technical preparation.
After the summit, descent and transfer to Ilinizas Mountain Lodge.

A full recovery and acclimatization day, strongly recommended before Cotopaxi. Time for rest, hydration, optional short walks, and altitude adaptation.
In the afternoon, a technical briefing and equipment check for Cotopaxi (use of crampons, ice axe, rope travel, and glacier safety).

Transfer to Cotopaxi National Park. Hike from the parking area to José Ribas Refuge, followed by rest, early dinner, and preparation for the summit attempt.

Midnight wake-up and early start for the summit push. The climb is fully glaciated and roped, guided at all times by a certified mountain guide.
After the summit, descent to the refuge, return to the parking area, and transfer back to Quito or next destination.
