About the Women Behind The Lighthouse Retreat
A sister-led retreat rooted in care, hospitality, and hands-on support for every group we host.
The Lighthouse Retreat is owned and operated by two Palestinian sisters originally from Toronto, Canada, who turned a long-held dream into a life built on Little Corn Island.
What began as a personal connection to the island grew into a shared vision: to create a small, intentional retreat space where guests feel safe, supported, and deeply at ease.
With backgrounds in hospitality, wellness, and retreat hosting, they understand both sides of the experience; what retreat leaders need to feel supported, and what guests need to truly unwind.
You’ll often find them on the property, welcoming groups, coordinating details, and ensuring everything flows smoothly from arrival to departure.
This is not a large resort operation or 24/7 service.
It’s a hands-on, family-run sanctuary built on care, presence, and genuine connection.

Hosting Policies & Payment Terms
To keep your planning effortless, we structure payment under a straightforward schedule:
3-Step Payment Schedule
$900 Non-Refundable Deposit: Due at the time of booking to lock out your dates.
50% Progress Payment: Due 90 days after signing your agreement.
50% Final Balance: Due 60 days prior to your retreat check-in date.
If you need to reschedule your retreat, 100% of monies paid are transferable toward a new retreat start date within 6 months of the original check-in date (subject to owner approval, venue availability and rate adjustments)
All payments are non-refundable. If a retreat is canceled, all funds remain strictly forfeited. Any remaining unpaid balance according to your payment schedule becomes immediately due and automatically charged to the credit card on file.
As the facilitator, you set your own pricing, manage guest registrations, payments and establish your refund policies.
Due to our remote island setting and non-refundable structure, we recommend groups to secure travel insurance (including Cancel For Any Reason / CFAR coverage).
