Make memories with the family with this 6-day Family Safari. Set within the Okavango Delta’s community-run Khwai Concession, this beautiful camp is tucked under the trees on the edge of the Khwai River. The joy of introducing your children to their first safari is bound to leave an everlasting impact.
This river is all that separates the iconic Moremi Game Reserve and the concession, with hippos, elephants and even lions crossing over from time to time. During the day, guests can enjoy game drives, walking safaris and mokoro safaris (water levels permitting) on the search for Africa’s big attractions including lion, cheetah, leopard, wild dog, elephant, buffalo, hippo and giraffe.
Khwai’s biggest drawcard is undoubtedly the plentiful and extraordinary wildlife – you’ll never be bored here! Adventure and relaxation are on offer as guests live out their ultimate safari experience – from setting off on a morning walking safari to enjoying a gin and tonic overlooking the Khwai River.

For our future nature enthusiasts, several of the camps provide an exciting kids program, the Ngwana Club. “Ngwana” is a Setswana word for explorer and is designed to offer a variety of safari-focused activities.
Each camp offers different Ngwana Club activities and welcomes families with children of all ages. For the enrichment of young minds, the camp offers visits to the local village. As part of the Ngwana Club, little explorers will try their hand at the art of pizza making with the chef and ticking off a list of birds and smaller wildlife species around camp.
For safety reasons, we do not permit children under the age of 16 years on walking safaris.
Built on raised decking overlooking the Linyanti Marsh, this intimate tented camp offers stunning views and many exhilarating ways to explore the area. Comprising three luxury tents and one luxury family unit, Linyanti Ebony is an ideal base for a family safari or can be booked on an exclusive-use basis creating a truly unique and personal safari experience.
The camp has child specialist guides who tailor the safari experience for families with children of all ages. The area offers spectacular birding all year round and is best known for its large herds of elephants, buffalo, and zebra that gather near the river at the start of the winter months and only move back inland once the summer rains arrive. Lion, Buffalo, Sable, Roan, Leopard, and Wild Dog are frequent visitors to the Linyanti, as are the elusive Sitatunga antelope, Hippo, and Crocodile.
A wide range of activities are on offer, including day and night game drives, seasonal mokoro, and a 30-minute scenic helicopter flight between April and November, allowing guests to experience this pristine area from the air.
