Is this trip for solo travelers too?
Absolutely. Many of our travelers come solo and quickly find connection and community. We also offer room-matching upon request for those wanting to share accommodations.
What should I pack?
Thailand in March is warm and humid. Pack breathable, modest clothing, a scarf for temple visits, sunhat, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent, and comfortable walking shoes. A full packing list will be sent closer to departure.
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes, all travelers need to purchase comprehensive travel insurance that includes medical coverage, trip interruption, and cancellation protection.
What airport should I fly into?Fly into Suvarnabhumi Airport/New Bangkok International Airport (BKK) and depart from Phuket International Airport (HKT). We’ll provide detailed arrival/departure information closer to the trip.
Do I have to join every excursion?
No. While we encourage participation to maximize your experience, you're free to skip any activity and enjoy downtime instead. Some excursions you will have to join as we may be transporting to a new location after—just let us know ahead of time!
Is Thailand safe for tourists?
Yes. We travel only to regions deemed safe and work with trusted local partners. Our accommodations and guides are thoroughly vetted, and we avoid areas with travel advisories that would deem it unwise to travel.
How physically active is this trip?
This trip includes moderate activity: walking through temples, climbing stairs, and navigating uneven paths. The pace is balanced, but some stamina is required. Supportive footwear is essential.
Do I need a visa to enter Thailand?
Yes. U.S. citizens can apply for a Thai e-visa online or get one upon arrival. Starting July 2024, travelers must also complete the Thailand E-arrival app at least 7 days before arrival.
What kind of food will be available?
Expect flavorful Thai cuisine, from rice noodles and tropical fruits to curries and grilled meats. We can accommodate most dietary needs with advance notice.

Today we visit the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary, a peaceful refuge where rescued elephants now live freely in the surrounding jungle hills. This experience offers a meaningful opportunity to learn about the elephants’ stories, their behavior, and the sanctuary’s commitment to ethical care.
After a short introduction from our guide, we meet the elephants and offer them bananas and sugar cane before walking alongside them through the sanctuary. You’ll have time to observe, photograph, and connect with these gentle animals while learning more about their daily lives.
The experience continues with a playful mud spa and bathing time, where we help apply nourishing mud and then join the elephants in the water as they splash and cool off.
We end the visit with a traditional Thai buffet meal before returning to the hotel.
The afternoon is yours to relax and recharge—whether that means enjoying a poolside drink, returning to the beach, or indulging in a traditional Thai massage before we reconvene for a lovely evening together.
This evening includes a scenic drive to Big Buddha, one of Phuket’s most iconic landmarks. Perched high atop Nakkerd Hill, the white-marble statue offers breathtaking panoramic views across the island and the Andaman Sea.
Also included is a visit to Wat Chalong, Phuket’s most important Buddhist temple, where ornate halls, golden statues, and colorful murals provide a glimpse into Thailand’s spiritual traditions.
We’ll stop at Karon Viewpoint for sweeping views of Kata Noi, Kata, and Karon beaches stretching along the turquoise coastline, before spending time exploring Old Phuket Town, where colorful Sino-Portuguese buildings, lively cafés, and boutique shops reflect the island’s rich cultural heritage.

Today we explore the dramatic seascapes of Phang Nga Bay, known for its emerald waters and towering limestone karsts rising from the sea.
Our day begins with a visit to Wat Suwan Khuha, also known as the Monkey Cave Temple. Inside the limestone cavern sits a large reclining Buddha, while playful monkeys gather around the temple grounds outside.
From the pier, we board a traditional longtail boat and cruise through the bay to Panyee Island, a fascinating floating village built on stilts by local fishing families more than 200 years ago. Here we’ll explore the village and enjoy lunch overlooking the water.
The adventure continues at Talu Cave, where we paddle by canoe through turquoise waters and limestone formations filled with stalactites and hidden cave passages.
We finish at the iconic James Bond Island, famous for its striking limestone pillar rising from the sea and featured in the film The Man with the Golden Gun.
Return to the hotel in the early evening to enjoy a farewell dinner and drink.
