Experience the best of Tanzania on this 5-day budget group safari to Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire. You'll enjoy thrilling game drives, witness the Big Five, explore diverse landscapes, and stay in comfortable lodges and tented camps. This shared safari offers unforgettable wildlife encounters and stunning scenery — perfect for adventure seekers looking for value and comfort.
After breakfast, the tour departs. The first stop is Arusha for any last-minute purchases before we head off on safari. From here, we head towards Tarangire National Park for a game drive with a picnic lunch in the park. Tarangire National Park is well known for its huge elephant population and ancient baobab trees. It forms the centre of an annual migratory cycle that includes up to 3,000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeest, and 30,000 zebras.
After breakfast, we leave for Serengeti National Park, through the stunning farmlands of Karatu and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of untamed Africa, the Serengeti National Park. With its infinite plains, Serengeti rolls into the distance as far as the eye can see. Next, we journey to Seronera, one of the richest natural habitats within the park due to the treasured water supply from the Seronera River. Finally, we will arrive in time for lunch and enjoy the rest of the day in Serengeti National Park.
Today, we start our day early to see the sunrise over the beautiful Serengeti as we prepare for the day's game viewing. The game drives will take place until the evening.
We will arrive in time for lunch and enjoy our time in Ngorongoro. Our dinner and overnight stay are in Ngorongoro.
After an early breakfast at the campsite, you will drive to Ngorongoro Crater and descend 600m to the crater floor. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area hosts a substantial number of animals, which includes herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and the large African elephant. Another big draw card to this picturesque area is its dense population of predators. The predators residing in the area include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopard. It takes a skilled eye to spot a leopard! Next, we go to Lake Magadi, a massive, shallow, alkaline lake at the southwestern corner of the crater. Lake Magadi is home to an enormous number of flamingos, hippos, and different water birds. Finally, we will exit the park for our overnight stay.
After breakfast, you will check out and depart with a packed lunch for an exciting game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. Lake Manyara takes up a large portion of the park, and the forest begins just after crossing the park gate, along the base of the Great Rift Valley, with a hot spring to the west. The famous tree-climbing lion, buffalo, giraffe, hippo, and baboon troops can all be found in the park. The magnificent pink flamingos, ostriches, Egyptian geese, and other animals will also be seen. After your picnic lunch, you will go on an afternoon game drive and then to a Masai village to learn about the Masai people's various activities and cultures. You will arrive in Arusha in the evening.
