Day 2: Journey to Petra

• Wake up to a peaceful morning at the Dead Sea, with time to enjoy breakfast and another rejuvenating float in its mineral-rich waters. Let the calm surroundings and healing atmosphere set the tone for the day before continuing your journey south.

  Later, travel through some of Jordan’s most scenic landscapes, stopping at the breathtaking Wadi Araba viewpoint for panoramic views over the desert stretching toward the horizon — a perfect photo opportunity. Continue on to Little Petra, a lesser-known Nabatean site that offers a quiet and atmospheric introduction to the region’s ancient history. Wander through its rock-cut facades and narrow passages, imagining the traders and travelers who once passed through this hidden enclave.

After an early breakfast, set off for a full day exploring Petra, the legendary Rose-Red City carved into sandstone cliffs more than 2,000 years ago. Walk through the narrow Siq, where anticipation builds with every step, until the breathtaking Treasury suddenly reveals itself — one of the world’s most iconic and unforgettable sights. From here, continue exploring at your own pace, wandering among ancient temples, royal tombs, and hidden pathways scattered throughout the vast archaeological site.

For those wishing to dive deeper into Petra’s rich past, a local guide is available (optional, extra), bringing the city’s fascinating history, legends, and secrets to life.

• In the early afternoon, at around 2:00 PM, depart for Wadi Rum. Upon arrival, experience the magic of the desert with a sunset 4x4 jeep tour, as golden light washes over towering rock formations and endless red sands. The evening is spent in a traditional Bedouin camp, where you’ll enjoy a delicious local dinner and a peaceful night under the stars — a truly authentic desert experience.

Wake up to the peaceful silence of the desert and enjoy breakfast at the camp as the morning light slowly fills Wadi Rum. After check-out, those who wish can enjoy an optional camel ride, experiencing the desert at a gentle, traditional pace.

Later, depart the desert and travel north toward Amman, passing through ever-changing landscapes along the way. Upon arrival in the capital, enjoy time to explore the city at your own pace. Discover Amman’s most famous landmarks, including the impressive Roman Theater and the historic Citadel, offering panoramic views over the city and a glimpse into Jordan’s layered past.

In the evening, settle into your hotel and enjoy dinner and overnight in Amman, reflecting on the incredible journey through Jordan’s history, desert, and culture.

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a final moment in Jordan before your transfer to Queen Alia International Airport. Please ensure arrival at the airport at least 2.5 hours prior to your flight departure to allow sufficient time for check-in and security procedures.
