DAY 1: January 18 or February 22, 2027
2:00 PM – 2:15 PM Snowy Owl Photography Workshop Welcome and Overview, Saskatoon
Saskatchewan is reputed to be the best location in the world for wintering Snowy Owls. Within the province, the best region for Snowy Owls often changes from year to year. We will not know the best location until early winter. At least 2 weeks in advance of the workshop, we will email registered guests with the hotel information for where we plan to stay.
2:15 PM – 6:00 PM Snowy Owl Photography Session 1
We will drive from Saskatoon to a city or town near the best area for Snowy Owls this winter. We will stop to photograph any Snowy Owls we find on this drive.
You should have lunch before we depart and/or bring food with you for this tour.
6:00 PM – 6:30 PM Hotel Check-In
DAY 2: January 19 or February 23, 2027
7:30 AM – 6:30 PM Snowy Owl Photography Session 2
Following breakfast, your instructor will guide you to the heart of the current winter distribution of Snowy Owls in Saskatchewan. The photography guide will offer tips on camera settings to get the best shots. We hope to find and photograph more than 10 owls on this full-day driving session. We will remain in the field until it becomes too dark for good pictures. We will pick up food for lunch before leaving town in the morning.

We can order food for supper at a restaurant while we download and discuss processing and editing of our images.
