We then proceed and check into our lodge for lunch and at least some rest as we wait for our boat safari along the Kazinga Channel. The channel is famous for its huge population of hippos, often seen in large groups in the water—making it one of the best places in Africa to see them up close. You’ll also find giant Nile crocodiles basking along the banks as well as several bird species including; African fish eagles, Kingfishers, Pelicans, and Herons. After the boat cruise, we will have a short drive to catch a glance of what the park has for us the following day before we head back to the lodge.
