Start in Marrakech, cross the High Atlas, and wander the ksar of Aït Ben Haddou. You’ll ride a camel into the Erg Chebbi dunes, visit nomadic families, share music with the Gnawa people of Khamlia, and enjoy a Berber pizza lunch that hits different.

Marrakech to Dades via Aït Ben Haddou & Kasbah Route

Leave Marrakech behind and head into the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the jaw-dropping Tizi N’Tichka Pass. Visit the iconic Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and backdrop for Game of Thrones and Gladiator. Then continue along the Road of 1000 Kasbahs, cruise through Skoura and Rose Valley, and land in Dades Valley for a peaceful night in a boutique riad.

Dades to Sahara via Todra Gorges & Tinghir Oasis

Start with a scenic drive through Dades Gorge, then explore the towering cliffs of Todra Gorges on foot. In Tinghir, your local guide will lead you through lush palm groves and introduce you to village life. By late afternoon, arrive at the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. Ride a camel into the sunset, try sandboarding, and check in for night one in the Sahara—either at your luxury desert camp or a traditional Sahara riad.

Nomads, Gnawa, and 4x4 Tour of Erg Chebbi

Take it slow and dive deep into desert life. Hop in a 4x4 for a full loop of the Erg Chebbi dunes—stopping to visit nomadic families, sip tea with the locals, and listen to live Gnawa music in the village of Khamlia. Enjoy a traditional Berber pizza lunch, then relax at your camp or Sahara hotel for a second night under the stars.

Merzouga to Ouarzazate via Draa Valley & Desert Roads

Catch the Sahara sunrise (by camel or quad bike if you like), then hit the road west. Today you’ll cross the vast Draa Valley, dotted with kasbahs and palm-filled oases. It’s a quiet, scenic drive through Morocco’s deep south—ending in Ouarzazate, the famous film capital of Morocco. Rest up in a calm guesthouse surrounded by kasbahs.

Return via Atlas Mountains & Telouet Kasbah (Optional)

Wrap up your desert adventure with one last scenic ride back to Marrakech, crossing the High Atlas Mountains once more. On the way, you can make an optional stop at Telouet Kasbah—a hidden gem full of stories and old-world architecture. Arrive in Marrakech by late afternoon, just in time for a hammam or rooftop dinner.
