Overview
This 5-day safari from Mombasa takes you through some of Kenya’s most iconic parks and reserves. You’ll experience Amboseli’s breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the rugged volcanic landscapes of Tsavo West, the unique Salt Lick Lodge at Taita Hills, and the vast plains of Tsavo East before returning to the coast. Expect diverse wildlife encounters, stunning scenery, and memorable lodge stays.

Depart Mombasa early in the morning and drive inland toward Amboseli National Park. On arrival, enjoy lunch at your lodge before heading out for an afternoon game drive. Amboseli is famous for its large herds of elephants and the spectacular backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. You’ll also spot lions, cheetahs, giraffes, and a variety of bird species. End the day with a sundowner as Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped peak glows in the evening light.

After breakfast, set off for Tsavo West, known for its dramatic volcanic landscapes, rolling hills, and lava flows. Visit the Mzima Springs, where crystal-clear waters host hippos and crocodiles, and enjoy a guided walk along the viewing platforms. Afternoon game drives will take you across the park’s rugged terrain, with chances to see leopards, buffalo, and rhinos. Dinner and overnight at a lodge nestled in the wilderness.

Drive to the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, a private reserve rich in wildlife. Check in at the famous Salt Lick Lodge, built on stilts overlooking a waterhole and salt lick that attract elephants, buffalo, and antelope right beneath your room. Spend the day enjoying game drives in the sanctuary, and in the evening, relax at the lodge as animals gather around the floodlit waterhole—a truly unique experience.

After breakfast, head towards Tsavo East (Ngutuni conservany area), Kenya’s largest national park. Known for its red-dusted elephants and vast savannahs, Tsavo East offers excellent game viewing opportunities. Afternoon game drives will reveal lions, zebras, and countless bird species. Overnight at a lodge or camp inside the park.
