We start the day going on through the backwoods until the path opens into high moorland. We might get our most memorable perspectives on Kibo and Mawenzi tops - two of the three volcanic pinnacles that make up the highest point of Kilimanjaro.

We climb progressively, then, at that point, cross the lunar desert of the "Seat" among Mawenzi and Kibo. Our camp, Kibo Hut, sits at the lower part of the Kibo cavity wall. When here we rest, partake in an early supper to plan for the highest point day.

On our last day, we have a long trip generally downhill through the tropical rainforest. Once at the recreation area central command at Marangu entryway, we gather our highest point endorsements. A vehicle will meet us here and drive us back to the lodging in Moshi.
