This Tanzania Safari takes you to the most famous National Parks in Tanzania: The Tarangire River has shrivelled to a shadow of its wet season self. But it is choked with wildlife. Tanzania's oldest and most popular national park, also a world heritage site and recently proclaimed a 7th worldwide wonder, the Serengeti is famed for its annual migration. The jewel in Ngorongoro's crown is a deep, volcanic crater, the largest unflooded and unbroken caldera in the world
Pick up from hotel in Arusha or airport and drive to Tarangire National Park for lunch and an afternoon game drive. Tarangire is well known for its huge elephant population and baobab trees. It forms the centre of an annual migratory cycle that includes up to 3000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeest and 30,000 zebras. The Tarangire River which is the life blood of this national park ensures a year round supply of water and the river beds takes centre stage when animals gather to get this rare commodity resulting into magnificent wildlife actions when the predators try to grab a meal taking advantage of the moment. Later in the afternoon you will drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
